It seems that the same men who decry women being in the workforce, going to college, and pursuing careers are the men who decry women who want to be provided for.

I don’t get the logic. How can you simultaneously expect a female partner not to work and also resent her for asking for money and stuff? If she can’t work because it makes her “too masculine” or something and she can’t be provided for, what do you want her to do? I say this half-rhetorically and half-seriously: scavenge in dumpsters and live on the street?

If indeed you are ok with providing 100% if she doesn’t work but you refuse to marry her, she will be left with absolutely nothing - no money, no job, no career, no education, little work experience, and big gaps in her resume - if you separate. How is such a strategy prudent on a woman’s part?

To sum it up: If a significant portion of men don’t want women working, why are they so reluctant to provide for and marry their female partners?
