The situation in the US (to which i assume your referring as that is the birth place of "black on black" crime theories) is clearly to anyone who seeks to facts and truth a socio economical issue as opposed to a race and crime issue.

It is true if you compare crime statistics broken down by race at face value it doesn't paint the prettiest picture. however, if you delve into the issue more throughly there is a far clearer and distinct correlation between poverty and crime than race and crime.

If you compare a data segment of white US nationals earning under 19k too black US nationals earning the same amount annually you'll see that crime statistics for murder, rape, drug dealing are all very similar. Also, if you look at the ethnicity of murder victims and against that of there murderers you'll find that not only do blacks murder more blacks than any other race but white people murder more white people than ay other race.

Conclusion: Using the black on black argument in America is the equivalent of burying your head in a hole and saying to yourself there is no sky

All Ive read is "blacks" not "black americans" or anything like that which saying just "blacks" or the so goddamn hilarious "negroid" automatically includes every black person. I mean it is what happens. I'm not a racist or hate black people like the guy who posted that, but there is absolutely no denying that black people have a much much much higher violent crime rate than whites. He did post accurate statistics showing that.

I know it's easy to say institutionalized racism and poor urban areas, and that has merit as well.

At the risk of sounding racist I think that should be the focus of this current civil rights movement, not this current trend of, "it's all the white persons fault". Not when black on black crime is so very prevalent. There's so much work to be done in those communities, but no one wants to go there because it's akin to a warzone. I lived in Chicago for 3 years. Every single Monday Morning NBC news had a post on Facebook about the amount of people shot and killed over the weekend. Typically around 30-40 shot, 10-15 dead. Unless it was a holiday weekend when it was closer to 100 shot and 30 dead.

As I said, the US didn't get involved in the war simply because they were sticking it to Germany, they did only once they were attacked by another axis power.

All of your examples are after the war happened and the full extent atrocities of the holocaust were brought to light in the international community. It depends upon her specific situation. "Transgenderism" is not listed in the DSM, largely because that would be a very wide term which would lump together loads of people who shouldn't be. Gender Dysphoria however, is listed, because it has specific, repeatable symptoms and a course of treatment associated with it. Not all transfolks have Gender Dysphoria, but I would hazard a guess that anyone who goes through all the rigorous testing and long years of HRT (which is devastating to most people who aren't dysphoric) to transition fully to the opposite gender are probably dysphoric.

That isn't to say there is anything wrong with this woman (besides being a racist bitch, of course). Mental disorders deserve to be helped, never ridiculed. She deserves to be ridiculed for being a fucking racist, not for her decisions with her own body.

That study did not compare post-transition with pre-transition, and therefore makes no claim about whether suicidality increases or decreases after transition.

It looked at how much more likely post-transition transsexuals were to die than non-transsexuals. It's no surprise that transsexuals die more than transsexuals, given the difficulty of transition and trauma of dysphoria, the fact that transition is only a partial treatment, and discrimination and prejudice experienced.

So the authors very specifically state that this study makes no claim on the effectiveness of transition.

For the purpose of evaluating the safety of sex reassignment in terms of morbidity and mortality, however, it is reasonable to compare sex reassigned persons with matched population controls. The caveat with this design is that transsexual persons before sex reassignment might differ from healthy controls (although this bias can be statistically corrected for by adjusting for baseline differences). It is therefore important to note that the current study is only informative with respect to transsexuals persons health after sex reassignment; no inferences can be drawn as to the effectiveness of sex reassignment as a treatment for transsexualism. In other words, the results should not be interpreted such as sex reassignment per se increases morbidity and mortality. Things might have been even worse without sex reassignment. You can nitpick the study and say what you will, or you can prove evidence of the contrary. In lieu of evidence, my conclusion is still that the mental health issue of disphoria cannot be cured by mutilation of genitals, and ignoring the difference biologically of men and women does no good to people who have this issue. And confusing children who just need parental guidance is cruel and unusual. The vast majority of adolescent "trans" kids grow out of it naturally. If not, maybe they should undergo counseling or other help. If you're willing to give them hormones and surgery to irreversibly alter their body, when you know at the very best you will slightly reduce suicidality, it seems criminal to me. And this trend is very sickening. If my kid thinks he's a girl, he's not. And he needs guidance and perhaps therapy to help with his issues.

Conclusion: Very low quality evidence suggests that sex reassignment that includes hormonal interventions in individuals with GID likely improves gender dysphoria, psychological functioning and comorbidities, sexual function and overall quality of life.

Let's get phycologists involved and do an actual evaluation of mental health, because the actual suicide rate is still too high pre/post op.on the order of 10x that of the regular population. The brain is not a gendered organ. Study after study shows nothing but statistical averages that fully overlap. Not to mention, the PhD that was just very publicly ousted from Google for trying to claim exactly that illustrates beautifully how harmful the claim is. You can't have it both ways. Either men and women share the same brain architecture and equal cognitive, reasoning, emotional, and verbal abilities, or the brain IS sexually dimorphic, opening women back up to the criticism that they are less capable of STEM, while men can't nurture, and never the twain shall meet. Along with all the other, basically phrenology, arguments used to discriminate against the same women who have fought so hard for, and deserve, equality.

Upvoted and good response, but a rat is an example of sexual dimorphism. Males tend to eat babies. My middle school jokes aside, humans do not show this kind of behavioral difference.

Further, even in the studies you linked, careful review will always show differences are average, not conclusive. There is no lab out there that can identify a disembodied brain by structure alone.

Yet even if they could, would it be socially responsible to advertise it? Look at society and tell me such findings will not be abused - generally to put women down and reinforce stereotypes.

Finally, after a number of conversions trying to educate myself on the subject, if it didn't seem so goddamn snowflakey I suppose I could identify myself as "agender." In recent years, the larger companies have either been A) absorbing smaller black-owned cosmetic companies (here's a piece about the controversy earlier this year surrounding the rebranding of ONE of those companies, Carol's Daughter) or B) launching their own lines for darker skin AFTER the data started coming back about the viewership of black beauty blogs and vlogs.

I'll break it down, because you don't seem too swift. It took someone over at Youtube's ad sales department or google adsense to wake these larger companies up to the amount of money that could be made in that 'niche' market. I know you wouldn't notice, not only because you're a little dull but also because you're blatantly, obviously not black, but the change in actual product placement in large retailers like Target, Walmart, and whoever, has been dramatic. It would be the equivalent of your big chain grocery store integrating the "ethnic foods" aisle and suddenly seeing Heinz-brand Wasabi and Coca-Cola-brand Malta.

The demand has literally been omnipresent since the founding of the country. As white-hooded racists love to point out, the first female American millionaire was a black woman who made her money selling beauty products for black women. This market didn't come out of nowhere. Additionally, outside of the momentary waning in the 60's/70's that went with black revolutionary movements of the time, that market hasn't gone anywhere.

So, in the first place, the demand begat a supply. That was never the issue. As I've just illustrated, that demand has been supplied consistently for the majority of the existence of this country (insomuch as the period where black people were free). As I said in my previous comment, which I guess you just overlooked or something, it was something recent which alerted these larger companies to the fact that this market exists.

But why would something recent have to alert a massive company to the fact that there is a huge ocean of untapped money sitting out there?

Friend of mine is really big into makeup. Pale as a ghost. She knows this struggle better than most. Average flesh tone colors are easier to manage than the far ends of the spectrum. It's one area where companies could produce more to cater to a wider consumer base.

The point I really wanted to answer; Attention.

There is a common underlying factor to the PC community as a whole. They are insecure. Fat, mental illness, trans, gay, otherkin, <insert imaginary oppression here>; what's important is how the focus comes into play. In middle and high school, the aforementioned would be marginalized for being outside the social norms. Couple this with an inability to handle rejection and failure and you get a volatile mix that blossoms in the college environment because the usual restrictive forces in play are no longer there. In middle and high school, there is an established sense of conformity. College presents an opportunity for exploration, an exploration that these insecure individuals find some measure of normalcy in.

Thanks to lax academic standards and a lack of properly peer reviewed course materials, subjects like "gender studies" become legitimized, serving only to exasperate the issue further by reinforcing irrational ideas as concrete facts.

Ultimately, it results in people like this; believing fully that their position is not only legitimate, but right. It's good that L'oreal stepped up to this nonsense. I hope they weather the storm of screeching college aged kids unscathed.

Well, for the past decade the "average" white community has acquiesced to a lot this. "White privilege" (being taught and pushed at university level), the "owning" of words and culture, revisionist history.. because there was/is some reasonable debate about it all. So, the "whites" were like, "fine.. fine.."

But that's getting misinterpreted as complete acceptance of the ability to pick on whites as a whole; legally and without consequence. I believe it even played a major roll in that dipshit Trump getting to presidency. The Dems just pushed and pushed identity politics.

This person is probably legitimately stunned there was any consequences to this statement. I listen to NPR a lot, and I hear statements like this with consistency without a person being called out on it. Racism is ignorant, but replacing it with more racism is still ignorant.

Trans is a mental illness. It's is unnaturally changing your body/the way you live because of a false idea in your head.

If someone who was depressed said they wanted to kill themselves because they were born depressed and don't want to suffer, everyone would cry out and get them help. They'd send them to therapy and claim that it's not true.

But if someone wants to change their bodies because they were born a different gender and don't want to suffer then everyone says "go do it! anyone who opposes you is a bigot or transphobic".

It's a mental illness.

I have literally no problem with people who are Trans or with people wanting to live their lives how they want. I also have no issue with people who suffer with mental illness, I used to suffer with a few major problems myself - as has nearly everyone. What I have a problem with is people claiming that being trans isn't a mental illness, because it is. You are unnaturally changing your body/the way you live because of a false belief in your head. That is like the definition of a mental illness.

Gender can not be changed. It is an objective definition. It's not based on feelings. Redefining an objective measurement to accommodate those very few feelings are hurt by the established definitions is not how you run a society.

How is misgendering an attack. Again precious feelings. It is not an attack it is an opinion. Labeling someone's opinion as an attack is faulty thinking. Again you are playing the thought police.

Funny. One of the transgendered people I mentioned in a previous reply to you is a repeatedly published professor at the University of Windsor. We have had many discussions. We respect each other we just have different opinions on that one matter. I'm sure they would differ from you in the opinion that I think he is less human than I am. The major difference between you and him is he knows me personally. But you don't have to do that. You just assume that I disrespect people. I judge all on an individual basis. You don't get a pass just for being part of a group and you don't get a fail for being part of a group.

Transgenderism (funny how my trans friendly Google phone doesn't even recognize the word without me adding it) is a disorder. Nothing that is only present in a fraction of a percent of people can be considered normal. Of course unless we redefine normal. And that's where all of this comes to. Redefining words with specific meanings and purposes to not hurt people's feelings.

It's like redefining the word retarded because it's not inclusive to those who aren't part of the group. It doesn't make sense.

Why not just use accurate terms to define transgenderism. Man or woman who thinks they are the opposite sex.

There is nothing inherently positive or negative about that. But that's what it is. No matter how you argue that's how it is.

While a few loud bigoted cis genders might attach negative connotations to that, it really seems that it's the LGBT community that does so the most. And for what reason? The definition has nothing to do with human rights.

Anytime you prohibit something like drugs - which will always maintain a high demand regardless of legality - you necessarily create criminal organizations that are willing to kill people to be the suppliers of that demand, due to the supernormal profits that are concomitant to prohibition.

Mexico happens to have tons of land that is ideal for growing, producing, and refining drugs, and they have a near endless supply of people with farming backgrounds and experience. Because of US drug laws and the tenacity of our prison system, it is far less risky to produce and package the drugs in Mexico - where police corruption is the norm - than it is to do so inside the US. Mexico also shares a border with us (the drug consuming capital of the world), which has created a funnel point for all of the drug producers throughout South America.

Whereas alcohol prohibition resulted in mass gang violence inside of our borders, drug prohibition has pushed that violence across the border into Mexico. Because it doesn't affect us directly, our society is more willing to tolerate it.

Yes, but let's say you get arrested for producing narcotics in Mexico. There's a what, 90% chance that you can buy your way out of prison? Hell, you're probably able to buy your way out of the arrest itself.

In the US that chance is far lower. You would have to corrupt the local police force, the state police, and develop ins with federal agents as well. And all it would take is for all of that to unravel is one goody-two-shoes joining the force and realizing that something is afoot, or one task force being created outside of the departments where you have developed corrupt officials.

A perfect example of this is how El Chapo Guzman was arrested across the border and managed to escape prison multiple times before being extradited to the US and thrown into a maximum security prison, where he's been held ever since.

Just because we are rich enough to afford the drugs, doesn't place responsibility on us.

Yes, it does. We create the demand that necessitates the supply. It's very simple economics. Somebody will supply that demand. If drugs were legal then the suppliers would be forced to abide by laws and regulations. They could not hang chainsawed bodies from bridges to intimidate their competitors out of the marketplace.

I just don't think you can blame the US drug policy on Mexico's violence when our drug policy is essentially the same as all other countries.

The policy is not what matters. Our ability to enforce it is.

The US wants them to stay illegal for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is the ability to fund black-ops, police forces, and prisons with that money. Another big aspect of it is what do you do with all the jobless, unemployable felons who currently make up our shadow economy? How do you take a couple hundred thousand ghetto ass thugs and turn them into productive citizens? What do you do with the few million prisoners serving time for drugs? I don't think you can assign blame (as in moral blame, not causal effect) on a drug policy in one country for causing problems in another that have the same exact drug policy but just lack enforcement.

We know what the result of prohibition is, and we led the world in criminalizing drugs anyway.

None of the Hispanics consider ourselves white b/c Racist America taught us we weren't white to help oppress us and to try to separate us from our culture by making us "white." Some of the ways they did this, was not letting Hispanics speak Spanish in public schools, holding them back 2 or 3 grades at young ages due to them "being dumb," which then caused them to drop about by age 18 as a freshman or sophomore, b/c why go to school when you have to help make money for your family and work on a ranch. It's ridiculous. People drop out of school primarily for economic reasons, family problems, and unaddressed disability. Racism exists. But, you might want to note that some "hispanic" cultures simply don't value education. Well, it turns out a lot of 'white" cultures don't value education either. But, on the other hand, some of them do value education, just like a lot of everyone else.

do you know what it's like to go to school and be told you'll never go to college b/c of the color of your skin? It happens more often than you would like to believe. Now I was in school from the Early 90's to early 2000's and it was still bad then. And if you think there aren't teachers out there making comments that have impacts on young teens minds then there's nothing I can do to help you understand that it is a problem, especially in the south where racism is still quite a big deal.

I and many of my friends have been victims of racism w/ school districts as well as police and even just general population. While you may not see it, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

First of all, not all hispanics have white european backgrounds. And, I know many Mexicans, as in actually from and living in Mexico, that find the term "hispanic" offencive. In fact, I'd suggest that's the dominant view of "hispanic" in most Latin American countries.

I think if you've been paying attention how I have been pointing out that "hispanic" is actually a racist term and "white" doesn't apply to all so-called hispanics, then would be evident that, from my point of view, you're being racist. Or at the very least promoting racist thinking and ideology.

Do you really need more or are you still just trying to justify your racist comments?

The first OC was arguably being racist. But, the fact of the matter is that most Mexican cartel violence is done by people who don't actually think of themselves as white. And this violence is not a direct result of colonialism or "American drug laws". Again, if you knew actual Mexican culture, you'd know that. But, you only know the "hispanic" American narrative. Which is a narrative that says to let a piece of paper decide who and what you and everyone else is.

I have not been to every state or every region and, just like here, most people are pretty awesome. The whole "blanca" vs "Mezieto" is a thing. I'm goign to be 40 in a few months. Grew up in NC, USA. Played sports, basketball, hung out at the Y a lot, had lots of black friends, parents had black friends, my nanny was a black lady for several years when both my parents worked. The first woman I fell in love with in my 20s was a black woman whom I dated for about 2 years and lived with... in NC.

I say all this because I don't feel any pity or need to help black people anymore. Their victim complex is toxic as fuck and THAT is what is harming them the most. I don't judge them for believing it, some of it is true, but most of it is not. I just don't think they have the visibility into everything in society that is required in order to see that the victim complex is mostly untrue, because the media and politicians will make it as real as they possibly can to drive out votes.

I wonder if the people older than me, the generation before, went through this same thing that I have. I was totally sold on the black victim narrative as a young man. I'm not anymore.

P.S. - a large % of black americans don't support BLM. How come we never hear from them? Probably because they are busy with responsibilities and work...

Stephen Colbert made an in-character joke (something stereotypically Asian about Ching Chong something or other) that was funny because he was actually mocking those who would make such a joke. Being typically thin-skinned and incapable of grasping the humor of his character—which was about making conservatives look ignorant and racist—she took it at face value, decried it as racist and called for his show to be canceled.

He made short work of her, again using humor, the following week. What was more interesting for me to discover through her subsequent media appearances was that she has been so thoroughly miseducated in her Asian Studies that she honestly hates white people and thinks all whites are oppressing her extremely wealthy and privileged ass. Myself, as a blue-collar white man who's spent his entire life supporting women and PoC doing whatever they want to do with their lives, I'm not only privileged over her but I'm also actively oppressing her and benefitting somehow from this imaginary oppression.

Your interpretation is way off the mark. These employees discriminated against these individuals while on the clock. Suing the company is a form of suing the individual. They brought lawsuits against the company because the company has the deep pockets, not the individual. They lost because they discriminated against these transgender people. I don't think anyone is corrupting established words, it's just the natural evolution of language. Generally I support words gaining more nuance and conceptual specificity when there are already generalized terms available.

In this example, prejudice or discrimination could easily take the place of "racism" in many circumstances. "Racism" has a lot of baggage and when you include all the historical context in the word it allows that baggage to be more easily unpacked and understood. That's not to say I'm judging people for using the word in a more generalized way, it's just my preference.

Also, I find it important to point out that using the word in this way clears a path to respond to "ALL white people are racist."

I say "I am a racist because I've been raised under a racist system that is 'inherited and consciously or unconsciously passed down through privilege.' I have to work every day to recognize the racial bias impressed on me by society and fight it."

When I grab for my wallet when I pass a black man on the street I can confidently blame our racist society at large for that action rather than blame solely myself. When I started thinking this way it relieved a lot of anxiety for me.

Slavery was never limited to white perpetration, people of all colors have owned people of all colors. If white success is built on slavery then all racial successes are built on slavery.

But do you know who ended slavery? First-world western cultures. Those pesky white people. And the only places on the planet where human trafficking still lingers around the edges? Those places tend to be brown-ish in nature. Huh.

When did I say I have a problem living among white people? Sure they are evil, but there is evil in the world in general.

Most white people have also learned to tame their racism. Some have been socialized to control their racism, and others do it at will when doing so benefits them. Reason being that many of them do not like the conflict that results from it, both physically and philosophically. They still have internal struggles with enlightenment, anti-racism ideals, and their innate hatred.

With that said, however, the ideology white people are born with remains. Is it due to evolutionary psychology? I don't know, but the phenomena still exists.

I'm not saying other races are perfect either, I'm just saying white people are genetically the most racist and hateful due to their biology.
