It's kind of similar to the way Seeking Arrangement avoids the prostitution laws. If the ad said, "You can live here rent-free in exchange for having sex with me," that's prostitution. There's nothing illegal, though, about letting a woman live rent-free in exchange for being a sort of sexy decorative item around the apartment. And what does "exploring our naughty fantasies" really mean? Maybe it means having sex. On the other hand, he said he likes to be teased, so maybe it just means getting him aroused by talking about fantasies or just letting him look at her.

Now, of course, I know that's all a conceit and he's soliciting for a sex partner he'll pay for by giving her a place to live, but it'd be tough to prove in court. Prosecutors and police are overworked. They're not going to arrest and try to convict someone like him when there are so many easier prostitution suspects to go chase.

I lived out of my car very recently and a tent for a little bit. Thankfully at state parks. Jesus I'm not sure which was worse with the thunderstorms and literally hanging out in the vestibule area of my tent to keep the rainfly down because of a tornado watch level wind about to rip it out of the ground. I have a huge Mastiff with me who growls at strangers who get too close so it helps considerably.

I worked as an EMT at a sobering center in a huge city downtown a few years ago. The males were fucking vile. Many men go homeless because they are sex offenders and not because boohoo, I can't find a place thats not near a school and a public park, but because they do NOT want to be tracked. I was punched in the face by one scrote. I hope he's unalived.

The females actually didn't cause problems besides one stupid shouting match one time. Literally diffused after we told them to be quiet. Their area also never, ever, smelled like piss with piss puddles everywhere and shit wasn't smeared everywhere. I never had a hostile female.

I don't feel sorry for homeless men and I sincerely don't give a shit how that comes across. Screenshot that out of context, scrotes.

For any woman here who might be living out of her car and can't go to a shelter because, say, you have a dog who is like your child, keep your windows cracked in your car especially if it's cold outside so they don't fog up at night. Well lit walmart parking lots since they allow overnighters all the time might be good but I found a church parking lot to feel better for me. This might have been risky on my end but I parked in the shadows in the spot under a tree so I wouldn't be obvious as I didn't get good vibes from that Walmart I was at.

If you can afford it camping at state parks are much cheaper than motel rooms and spaces are emptying out since summer is coming to a close. Also won't bake like a rotisserie chicken in your tent. Usually have showers and always have public bathrooms and water supply from ground pumps. Activities to do there keep your mind off of the misery even for a little bit.

State forests have dispersed camping but be careful if you're alone as they're not designated sites and you're out in the boondocks.

It's about the amount of personal risk you're willing to take, I guess. I'm always by myself and have done several XCountry road trips and camped alone.

Getting a propane camper stove and a small cooler might be pricy up front but it will even out quickly after getting pre-made sandwiches from a grocery store every day, that stuff adds up so fast. Please don't live off of fast food, it's pricey and unhealthy and you need to much at your best physical peak you can manage in that situation. Make sure your propane is sealed totally since it'll be in your vehicle. Checking by using a bit of soap water on the seal to make sure it doesn't leak helps because it will bubble if it is.

Gym memberships, YMCA is cheap, showers, bathrooms, and exercise if you can't camp. If you have a very common vehicle, it is easier to blend in than, say, if you have a retro looking van if you're in parking lots a lot. Haha. There's a public playground park near where I was for a bit that had 24 hour parking. If you camp get primitive camping because you can use a solar charger for your phone and not pay for electric hookups and run your car just to charge a phone, or something. They're not hard to find at stores. State and forest parks will have ground water pumps anyway. Private campgrounds meh not in my experience. Private is much pricier anyway, and electric and water hookups can get very pricey at any of those three types of sites, so much so that you may as well should have just stayed in the cheapest room you can find, since you'd at least be indoors.

If you are former service, military bases have cheap af campgrounds. I've seen many sites go for $5/night for primitive camping. If anyone needs the site I found that on I'll link it if requested as it goes state by state and base by base. At least AFB's have temp housing I was referred to them by the VA. But the one near me did not take pets for SINGLE individuals, only families. So, yeah.

Most of this was a general message for everyone and not necessarily just you, lol, BTW. Housing crisis for rentals is fucking awful so I'm sure there are at least a couple women here who are in precarious situations.

Ironically, I stopped giving money to homeless people after my own experience with homelessness. And when I say "people", let's be honest, it's only men, bc I never see homeless women on the street for all the reasons I lay out above. Homeless women disappear from the street too fast, and there was always a good chance the men were there due to their own shitty decisions.

Like yeah, I did meet guys who were on the street due to addiction, mental illness, or bad luck. My country's social safety net is a joke. But I also met A TON who were there because they sucked (i.e. Uncle Harold was a child molester or fresh out of prison so nobody would take him in). I can't take a chance with my safety so now I don't interact with homeless guys at all and don't lose sleep over it.

I second your advice about parking and would say hold onto your car as long as you can. It's a lifeline.

He admits he “hasn’t fully thought this through”,🙄 that he’s essentially using covid to take advantage of one who is in need, and it’s highly possible/likely of them to be in a financial situation that’s dire, thus them might not having any choice. Which is exploiting one who is desperate.😒🙄

THEN, he tries to insert “humor” by “just getting a rescue DOG instead”. He compares this to getting a DOG.🤦🏼‍♀️ Why doesn’t he already have a pet?? This screams control freak/selfish, if the titling of “alpha” doesn’t already. People who don’t have or like animals, I usually find to be pretty selfish on a regular basis, and they are often entirely self-absorbed.
