I'm never going to throw a person away over money, but it's more about how they got into that situation in the first place. I've known a lot of really sweet girls that did everything right and still had their lives fall apart just because of shit that was out of their control. I knew a girl who was living with her parents at 30... something. Who was in debt, and she stayed at home all day, all the time.

She took out a school loan, but her parents were in a horrible car crash. They got hit by an oncoming bus, essentually. She had to go right back home, drop everything, and nurse them. She was really, really kind. And sweet.

Life can just fucking obliterate you sometimes. You can have the first half, or even all of it ruined because of shit you could never have seen coming. The best laid schemes o' mice an' men and all that. Especially these days. Where most of us are one random thing away from getting fucked back 25 years.

I'd need to know details. Life is too cruel for me to immediately assume the worst.

Anyway, I have indeed dated someone in this situation (while not being in that situation myself). It never really mattered that much. I guess the one thing was she didn't like me to pay for everything, so if her financial situation was tight at the moment, we would do less expensive stuff like stay in and watch a movie, but I enjoy things like that so it wasn't a problem.

That being said, as long as they're happy and not miserable with what they're doing, that's all the matters.

If said broke person is simply struggling due to hard times, unemployed, going through a major life shift, etc - then sure, I won’t mind. This is, of course, running on the assumption that she won’t be broke forever.

Money's important and all that, but something I haven't seen really addressed here is, if the woman is working, the quality and field of her job. It's one thing to be making jackshit because of one's personal drive, yet it's another because she happens to be at an entry-level position, for example, on a clear upward trajectory in a field that has a lot of potential (and generally isn't evil. But that's just me.)

The other thing is the nature of a job – I hate to point straight to education, but teachers are overworked and underpaid. Yet I wouldn't deny the opportunity to date a teacher just because they make under a certain amount. That's more on education being fucked rather than the individual.

Do I care how much money a woman makes, not really, especially if she's in an altruistic field. Given that I'm in my mid 30s now, I don't usually date women in their 20s. Unless a woman is in 25 or under, I'd expect her to have her shit together and I can't see myself dating a woman that young.

In theory yes absolutely, in practise probably not because often the traits that result in somebody being broke are negative traits that bleed over into other facets of life. Keyword OFTEN, not always, before I get someone has a rant at me calling me a classist bigot.

I actually agree with her for the most part, I just think it's funny that a woman like that has the audacity to make such demands. If you're over 30% bodyfat you should also bow out of the dating market.

Yeah, if i genuinely liked the person, their personality etc.

People can get over all of the mentioned situations by OP, even more so when there is somebody helping them. In relationships people usually push each other to become better people, partners etc.

The Tik Tok itself was pretty bad and pretty sexist in my opinion by implying that women are shallow and care more for money, luxury and overall ''expensive things'' than emotional support, unique perspective and good company in general, upon other things that don't involve money.

Struggling with debt?

This is a dealbreaker if she's struggling with debt but has nothing skills to show for it or is unable to pay it off herself.

I would prefer a woman who was a basement dwelling gamer. People not seeing the appeal of it is as strange to me as people into watching sportsball.
My problem is there's not really a way to meet those kinds of women and I'm not physically attractive enough for them anyways.

If there's one thing the manosphere can imply to you it's that you can't always take women literally. Lots of men making less than 50k have gfs. She's just paranoid.

If I were single again, no. I wouldn't date a broke woman. She wouldn't need to make as much as me, but she would need to have enough money to pay her own way. Most of my income over the past 20 years has gone to someone besides myself. That's fine, but I've put in my time. My kids are almost grown and I need to focus on the rest of my career and retirement. Having to foot the bill for someone else is simply going to reduce my quality of life.

If it's all of the above and she's working to improve her lot in life? Sure. If she only ticks one or two of those boxes and is an unambitious loser though? Probably not as my goals are a partner as opposed to a pet. If I wanted to play caretaker to some NEET I'd adopt a heartwarming orphan. Lol
