SEA update:

Did something stupid again. The island that I'm on, every city on the mainland aside from the one I live in is level 3 travel advisory. I traveled outside of the safety of that city yesterday to go inquiring about volunteering at a university.

I take a long bus ride and arrive in the new city. I stop at a mall and everyone is looking at me, I'm sure very few foriegners ever come here, so the fact they're seeing one, especially a young one is very novel to them. I head to the university on motorcycle taxi where I am greeted by security. I call the pastor I've been in contact with and he has security drive me to his office. We head in and talk for about 30 minutes. He is very inquisitive about me and asks me about my intentions for coming. I reaffirm that I am looking to volunteer.

He tells me that he has a lot of security concerns for me, because there are terrorists/rebels that live in the jungle and I would draw a lot of attention when we go in provincial areas. I told him that I'm willing to accept the risks.

We walk around the campus into a outdoor meeting areas where there are hundreds of students involved in some after-school event. He introduces me to other leadership in the faculty who give me more information about volunteering.

After about an hour, the pastor takes me out for a meal. All you can eat for only 4 dollars, his treat. We then head to a community outreach program in a rural area. We arrive through dirt road at night, surrounded by very high vegetarian, and there is currently a brown out, so it is pitch black aside from the headlights of the car. The pastor starts again talking about security concerns and the whole time we drive through I am just mentally anticipating some rebels coming out of the vegetation to kidnap me at any moment. I am having complete trust in this guy that I never met before that was referred to me by another person who I had only ever met once before.

We arrive safely to the outside gym of the community's elementary school. There is about 100 people in attendance. The pastor introduces me as his brother in law. He says that the people will respect me more if he does this and that the security will be more concerned for my safety. The people are all very surprised to see me yet are inviting.

The school has adopted one of the "barangay" or villages nearby that they do outreach to, which with further conversation to the Pastor, is because they have intention to open a church there. Basically they build up a small community there, have an event once or twice a month where they give out a small amount of food and gift and evangelize to them in preparation before opening a church. These people are desperately poor. They were so happy just to get a piece of sweet bread, a popsicle, a small plastic watering can and flip-flops.

After we left the pastor then drove me to the bus station to ensure my safety, and waited for the bus with me. He said he appreciates my "brave heart" and for coming out to see him. He told me that 7 years ago one of the terrorists set off a bomb at this exact bus station that killed/wounded many.

I am curious to keep pulling on this thread but I'm not sure if I will. I am doing this just to get women and it seems like too much effort/risk for the reward. It would be very difficult to navigate getting a harem. This would be more for if I'm looking for a high quality wife, in then I could basically get my pick of the litter from the university.

They invited me to come to future events. There is one that I am very interested in but is quite dangerous. They take a ride very deep into territory inhabited by the natives who live off of the land to bring them food and evangelize to them. These kind of areas are also the same ones that the rebels/terrorists hang out in too. He said that they have to have military involvement when they go on these trips, and direct contact with the rebels themselves in order to try and reach a negotiation where they don't interfere.

I think the people who say beta uprising is unrealistic are misguided.

Literally millions of people live under sharia law, which is similar to the sort of system that would be implemented if there was a successful beta uprising.

This may not be a common sentiment from the women in this sub specifically but one complaint I hear from women in general is that men will argue with intentions. The most basic example is the man does something, the woman says she's hurt by it, and the man's first response is "Well I didn't mean to hurt you." While this isn't a good response, I'm not even sure how gender-specific it is; women probably do this too and men are just less likely to complain about it.

But that's not the point I want to make. What I see more often than the above (purely anecdotal but it's not like there's data on this) is women making claims about men's intentions, men defending themselves, and then being accused of low emotional intelligence. For example:

F: You didn't do the dishes, that makes it seem like you don't care about the space we live in

M: No, I do care about the space we live in, I just forgot

F: It's not about whether or not you care, it's the fact that the dishes weren't done

I've found women are actually really good at setting up these kafka traps, much better than men. I don't even think a lot of them do it intentionally (haha).

from my experience the women with the odd extremist political views are usually stay at home moms. They dont really get out much and I feel like a lot of it is just edgelord boredom. What's a good side hustle/part time job? I already do referring for youth football and typically make around $40 an hour every weekend but that ends in October, I have a career job lined up in 8 months but I'd like a job to make some money for my Roth IRA. The difficulty or barriers to entry aren't a concern since I can typically get certs pretty fast. I'm thinking of doing food service but it would need to either be banquets or a an upscale restaurant where the tipping is good. Also will get into referring softball/baseball in the spring since they're desperate for refs but need something for october-december. Things that don't work is warehouse work since they don't pay enough in my state and if there are no benefits I have a hard line of making at least $20 per hour, also can't do bouncing/bartending since I have early wakeups.

I love all the people blaming the economy for neets and young dudes not getting laid, and not blaming women instead.

All across the west, we have a demographic problem and low levels of unemployment. Too many people at retirement age, not enough young people. Right now it's actually a pretty good time to be a young person.. The economy is just fine, there's just have this very new delusion that in whatever year a couple 20 year olds were buying houses in expensive markets from working in a factory. This was never a thing but the lie has been repeated enough times it's accepted as truth at this point.

If the economy was actually bad, you would see low traffic on the streets, doordash would go out of business, and airlines would go out of business and have to be bailed out. What are we seeing instead? Tourism companies making record numbers, national parks overwhelmed with people taking road trips to go visit them, flight records being set, and doordash making record profits.

The real problem, is women's standards have gone up so much and hypergamy is getting so bad, that men don't really have the incentive to work anymore. I don't blame them, if I could rely on my parents I would totally join the "no pussy, no work" movement.

Here is what happened, and please consider all of my writing to make a conclusion (I'm giving all details that I think are relevant):

I was seeing this girl who I met at a club. When at the club, we made out and she grinded on me. It took like 20 days or so to get a date, then the next week we had another date and had sex.

However, before the sex she asked, "Is this what you usually do? Casual?"

I told her that I was working towards a relationship, because I was open to one. She stopped me from escalating towards sex, but eventually things picked up again and she was grinding on me penis without any panties on. When I tried to move towards sex from this point, she freaked out and left me house. Then about two minutes later she texted me saying she was sorry and that that was weird, and that she was "hangry". I offered to get food with her, and then we went to Chick Fil A and got food. Then, she came back to my house and we had sex.

We saw each other for a while more but sometimes she was late when we made plans and I got internally offended and stopped taking her seriously. (I later found out that there is something called "Mexican Time" so it turns out that this is a cultural norm for Mexicans and that it wasn't because she didn't like me, but I didn't find that out until months later). At one point she was pressuring me to put more effort in and asked me to clarify my intentions, so I told her that I just wanted casual. Although I didn't go into detail, the reason that I only wanted casual was because I was not okay with her being late and felt like she didn't like me much (at this point I didn't know about the Mexican Time thing, which is real according to articles I later read).

She got offended and didn't want to see me anymore.

After some time I thought about it and determined that perhaps I was being unreasonable. I tried to get her back and she said that she doesn't do casual and things like that, and I told her that I wanted to get serious. She just ghosted me and didn't take me up on it. I texted her a couple more times over the next couple months, only making conversation, and moved on at some point.

About a month after the last time I had texted her, she hit me up saying she received some "sign" and then we started seeing each other again. I found out that she had reconnected with her old ex in the time that we weren't seeing each other, and that they had sex. I was under the impression that she wanted a relationship with him and that she gave him another chance because he was committal, so I accepted that I messed up and I continued seeing her.

After some months I learned that he was moving shortly after they reconnected, and I asked her how that situation wasn't casual if he was moving. After some conversation and me accusing her of doing casual and telling her I was offended, she said "Who said it was casual? I'm not saying that, you're the one saying that. For your information, the plan was to do long distance. But then I overthought it and told him I couldn't see him anymore."

This made sense to me so I kept seeing her... but after a couple more months it came up again and she said that she was never considering long distance and that it was casual and that she "made an exception for him because he was involved for longer".

I felt extremely slighted and felt like she was only with me for emotional support, and that she wasn't physically attracted to me since she was so adamantly 'against' casual when it came to me, but made exceptions for another.

I broke up with her. This situation hurt my self esteem and I'm offended. I don't understand this, the guy was not attractive but I read that they do casual with guys they are physically and sexually attracted to and only allow other guys to have sex if they think they'll get a relationship from it. She KNEW she wasn't going to have a relationship with him, if she truly wasn't considering long distance, so that means that it was all about sex with him right? Yet with me sex wasn't a motivating factor it seems...

one of the posts that stuck with me and i feel angry i can't find anymore was of a dude who was extremely average in looks, he posted his pic, like the most average of average.

he was kinda cute but at the same time npc like, living in nyc and work as an uber driver.

and his complaint? it's hard to find women for casual sex who host. geuinely he was mad women would not meet him for casual sex at their house from tinder, and he couldn't afford a lot of dates so the dude couldn't wait!

I don't know about using femininity as an advantage but I work in a male dominated industry and have made 80K+ off women's only grants, scholarships, overseas trips, internships, promotions etc. Lots of opportunities in my field are only open to women

Anyone else notice how dudes from more upper class or middle class backgrounds tend to be the ones who struggle a lot in dating.?

My original theory, is that simply the dads of upper middle class kids are more likely to be nice guys themselves, so they will teach their sons wrong (or not teach them at all.) Computer programmer dad, VS if your dad is a mechanic he will probably be a little bit more masculine and will teach the son to be masculine.

But that theory doesn't completely make sense, because poorer kids are more likely to have completely absent fathers.

I work at a department store that mainly caters to women and something I've noticed is that 99% of the people who ask me questions (where's the bathroom, where's the fitting room, how does this dress look, etc...) are either older women 30's, 40's, 50's or older men of the same age. It's very rare that younger women ask me questions, or for help, or just to have a quick chat. It's even more rare with young guys; and this is all over a 3 year period. I find this interesting.

I suppose the poor socialization of younger people even extends to interacting with retail workers. Being honest I think I get it. Before I got my job I would have been hesitant to ask the employee of a store something so I was among the people I'm pointing out. Though now that I've worked this job I understand that they're paid to answer your questions and help you.
