The naivete of my fellow Americans never ceases to amaze me. I stumbled upon a link in /r/upliftingnews about a new measure that would allow the U.S. government to seize the patents of new drugs if their prices are deemed to be excessive. The crowd went wild!

Everyone seems to think this will bring drug prices down, when in reality it's just a shakedown. The government will threaten to seize patents; the drug companies will pay them off to make the problem go away, and the added cost will be passed on to consumers.

We really should be teaching kids this stuff in school.

The local football team made it to the state finals for the first time in school history yesterday, and ... got their asses handed to them. The score at halftime was something like 34-0. Ouch! I am pleased to report they did manage to put up a handful of points in the second half but the final was still ugly. A shame after going undefeated all season. They were playing the defending state champions, though, and it showed.

I'm autistic and managed to make it through college without getting laid, despite showing up to as many social events as possible and taking gen ed courses specifically because I knew there would be more women than STEM. And I was, and still am, a fairly liberal feminist with normal beliefs about women. But I was also autistic which means the "Go have fun in social settings and have sex with people also having fun" doesn't work for fairly obvious reasons.

But what did work for me was jumping on TRT, lifting a shitload of weights in the gym and sucking protein powder like it's the potion of eternal life. And then uploaded shirtless pics to Tinder and Hinge and all that. Now if I was a fucking moron (or if I didn't know I was autistic, like a lot of RPers) my conclusion would be "Women are shallow and awful and blah blah blah". And most people are fucking morons. So it's no wonder why so many RPers are...RP.

Weirdest thing I've ever done was when I was 13 or 14 I was in the magazine aisle of a grocery store reading some bikini issue of a fitness magazine and I rubbed my dick up against the magazine rack while looking at the pictures and came.

In my own life, I do not know anyone who has tried to find a partner and has not been able to, and I am willing to bet that any individual on here could get a partner in less than a year with some useful guidance.

Commonly reported talking points are almost irrelevant on the individual level. The guys that I know who are most successful on the dating market happen to be under 5’8”, and earn below average salaries.

If anyone would like to take me up on this offer I would be more than willing, so long as the process and steps can be documented (with a layer of anonymity retained), and if it is not possible after a year I will donate £200 to a charity of their choice.

I bought a Razer Turret for couch PC gaming. I've seen so many people claim that wireless devices are perfectly fine for gaming.

They're not. The mouse keeps cutting out and the input lag is subtle but very noticeable.

He was calling the other guy a faggot and saying he loved body builders. The other guy was like "yea so what?" about it but Eric just kept going. A few hours after I heard it I got sick. And I've been running a fever since then and hardly able to sleep. When I start to drift off I hear that sound in Eric's voice again and the sound of my own crying and whimpering in fear will wake me up. Last night it was only Opal and she wouldn't stop crying. The fever keeps getting worse because I'm not able to sleep from hearing that. I'm not recovering from what I have.

I know that ex friend group will read this. Because they follow me on here. So here it is. I don't care how many people you kill. I have the woman's body. I get to choose who to give it to. If you aren't what I want, then fuck off. Again, I literally one hundred percent do not care at all even a little tiny bit who you kill. I don't care. Kill them. Don't care. Q4W: Would it be an issue, if you would never get into fights and arguments with your partner?

When I was dating around I felt like this became an issue sometimes. I just can't fight with women and I rarely ever get angry and like to calm people down before I engage with their anger. Maybe it might seem provocative at times when somebody is screaming at me and I'm responding calmly. A common occureence was: She wants to be mildly toxic --> I respond in an emotionally intelligent, mitigating way --> they get mad because I didn't give them a reason to be mad at me and fight --> they don't know what to do with their anger.

Would it be boring to you to never be able to fight with your partner? Most women I have met in my life have this urge to engage in drama, even the one's that seem emotionally healthy and are in good relationships. Some of my female friends told me they need arguments in relationships to keep it spicy. What about you?

Something in my friend group that I find crazy is two of the guys are finding a place together. Another also needs to find a place to live since the people of the house he's at is wanting to move by the end of the month.

He has no place to go because he has no family and is currently struggling finding a place since he's by himself. Instead of the two guys including him in their roommate plan, they pick the girl of the group to just crash with them FOR FREE. And she doesn't even need a place to stay!

We talked about it with each other this week and said he was hurt by it. So crazy. And they made this decision long before this girl started dating one of the guys which was even more absurd to me.

Had a thought on the commute to work this morning. Women expect the impossible out of regular romantically unsuccessful Joe. A plain Jane will have had thousands of more romantic/sexually charged interations (spanning from small hellos, cat calling, to serious attempts of dating and propositions) whilst her similarly aged peer guy has next to nothing in experience.

Either he has been a kind plain ol' guy and has had a handful of experiences til he reaches college and/or he has made initial (and often many) failed attempts in the beginning of his journey into self actualizing sexually.

In both scenarios, a regular girl outpaces a man's experiences substantially, and that gap negatively affects the outcome of any budding relationship.

I have an interesting anecdote regarding being a virgin or inexperienced later in life:

I was talking to a coworker, she's in her 40s. She went out with a guy from tinder. The dates went well, she liked him. But when they had sex she noticed he was really inexperienced to the point where she asked him if he was a virgin. She said she really tried to talk about his inexperience to improve the situation (she was horny) but the guy shut down and didn't want to talk about it.

I can understand it's a difficult subject but she said it was like an elephant in the room, there was no way he could avoid the sex talk. She wanted to continue the relationship but the guy shut down.

Today was a wild day. Father called me because he had something "important" to tell me. Said that he was sick and this might be the last time we talk to each other. He was super vague but I can tell he was talking about suicide.

Mother said apparently he's been wanting to kill himself since they were teenagers so this is not new and don't pay any mind to it. Father also called my brother about this before but he wasn't bothered by it either. He called his bluff and genuinely told him to do it.
