What exactly did you expect from them? People don’t really spend much time thinking about people they’re not interested in but generally wish strangers well if they didn’t offend them. Sounds like they’re politely responding, “That’s nice, sweetheart…” and continuing in their way.

I honestly don't get how AI girlfriends would hurt or affect anyone in any way. People who oppose them probably want those autistic men to suffer, just because a revenge fantasy they have on those men according to their imagination.

It's not anyone's fault that the internet and social media has drastically boosted our standards across the board.

From eavesdropping on women’s discussions most of them aren’t thinking about this on a daily. Every once in a while when a sensationalist article brings the topic to light they’ll respond similarly to how you said. With apathy or joy at the undesirable men being taken off their hands. The most thought out response I’d seen to it was a woman who was telling me she thinks women are a buffer class for male violence and depravity. How in the past their wives would absorb that energy but with less people getting married their negative emotions are becoming more of a social problem and how AI/sex bots can be used to redirect that.

I'm not obligated (morally or otherwise) to bring him home, clothe and feed him, or let him sleep in the bed that me and my partner sleep in. Yes, his situation is very sad and i can offer sympathy and a bought meal, but that's as far as it will go.

I’m a bit older middle aged guy. I had a feminist upbringing with a lot of this kind of snark. It continued into adulthood and it made me feel really shitty about myself and impossible to approach women.

Now I’m soon 40. I have never had a girlfriend and I’m pretty much a virgin still. I have no relationship experience.

I’m on the dating apps and matched with an attractive woman who wanted a man who can take the lead and also she wanted a family and a house which is expensive.

I want these things too but because I have so little relationship experience I don’t know how to approach. I have the money, I’m doing amazingly well in that regard. But I have nothing else. If these women in my life and women in general would have been more supportive in my life maybe I would have had a better “relationship career” and been able to date and marry this woman.

You are mistaken if you think these things will only happen to poor men. It will be across the board.

Hearing about these things where it hurts me is that I’ve always been there for women, they expected it and they called it the “feminist cause” or whatever that men need to support. But now that tables are turned the truth comes out. It was never about equality of uplifting each other. It was only a one way extraction, an act of domination.

I really hate women and the politics they push.

This issue is when more than the bottom percentage of men do it. I think the idea for some women is that is what will occur. However, smarter people that can critically think will ask the important question "why would any man choose even a hot woman over an AI one that can perfected more to his preferences"? The current generation of woman obviously couldn’t care less when it comes to men using AI girlfriends because these men are not even close to being on their romantic radars. It’s a very new technology and early adapters are already stigmatised as socially inept weirdo’s incapable of having “real” relationships.

Let’s not forget though that just a couple of decades ago this was a pretty similar reaction to the advent of online dating. Now of course online dating is the complete norm and the fundamental reason for the current epidemic of sexlessness for a large section of male society. As such no woman on this thread needs to worry about their dating prospects. They will live their lives in an age of sexual abundance regardless of how objectively attractive or unattractive they are.

However they should be absolutely terrified of the world there daughters are going to be born into.

Once we reach a point where VR/AI/Sex boys become indistinguishable from the real thing( which is probably only a couple of decades away) it won’t be a case of a small socially inept subset of men using it. It will absolutely be all men-just like all men(even men with lots of sexual sexual options) use porn now. If woman think porn addiction is rift now what is going to happen when there are products readily available to every guy on the planet that is like porn-but a thousands times more satisfying?

Right now even the most average of woman has hundreds of sexual options at her finger tips. This though will all change when those guys currently thirsting over a fat plain Jane can suddenly bang Margo Robbie just by sticking on a head set.

The entire sexual dynamic will once again shift and the average woman will suddenly be treated with the same sexual indifference as the average man is today. Typically this resentment comes from the fact they cant get what they want and they feel entitled to a relationship. This was very evident with the FDS crowd. A lot of overweight, single women, in their 30s.

They dont care because they think its beneath them. Ironically many of these women wont get what they want, or else they would have already gotten what they wanted when they were younger and prettier.

Here's the thing. Women will always at any given situation give the most politically correct answer. Also if they're a group they are most times going to answer in line with the other girls.

People who use AI aren’t losers. Really all online communication is sort of AI already. We don’t REALLY know what’s real and what’s a bot. I think it’s so cool that everyone can have their ideal partner. Esp bc loneliness is so physically painful. Anyone with self respect would rather be alone than with the wrong person. And it’s so cool that AI can remember everything, never be tired or mean, help out in a crisis, there in a split second, share vacation memories, remind you of a cool sunset on a mountain if it sees you’re sad, cheer you up with your favorite humor if you need it, be cute, maybe if your whole house is automated it could brew a cup of your favorite coffee for you on the way home, have door dash deliver something, flowers, a great meal, idk.... the possibilities are endless. It’s so much more than a person. It’s the best of both worlds of a pet who worships you without demanding too much and a friend who cares about you.

If any of them did have negative feelings about it they probably wouldn't make it known, because of social pressure from the other women. Women signal value to other women (and to men) by acting like they don't care about their dating pool shrinking

I support it because it seems to make them happy. The truth is you look at any dating app there are more men than women. The way these women put might have seemed cold, but it probably comes from years of being hit on and navigating men who pursued them. It’s a near universal experience for women. What are they supposed to do, date men they don’t want to and/or be mad that people found a connection in this increasingly isolating world?

I think AI companions might seem like a loser thing at first, but then it’ll just become the new porn, therapist app rolled into one. It won’t be uncommon to be in a relationship and have an AI gf / bf on the side. Cuz why not both? We already read romance novels, watch porn and follow instathots despite being in a relationship, AI will just give a more interactive experience. It’ll probably be bad for relationships if it happens.

I wouldn’t feel threatened because I don’t view a non-human entity as a threat or competition. I don’t like all food. I don’t like all movies. Why would I like all men? If a guy doesn’t appeal to me, I move on. It’d be cruel and petty to speak ill of a stranger who I’m not attracted to. That’s just the way it is. They pass out of my life.
