As a guy who's been around a half century, it DEFINITELY gets easier, assuming that you take even MODERATELY good care of yourself as a man. I've honestly gained a lot of ground against other men, just by maintaining myself over the decades.

By 40's and 50's women become a lot more comfortable around men, and a lot more comfortable in their "own skin". They are more social, and more comfortable being approached. A lot of the "OMG....that guy is looking at me.....what do I do!!!" spazziness is gone at this age, making them more relaxed.

As for men, remember that a lot of the men who were "Chads" in their 20's, are now obese, pre-diabetic, and sun-damaged. By this age, you get a REAL sense, as to who has taken care of themselves, and who hasn't. The slender nerdy guy, now has the advantage over the former Chad, who now hangs over his belt, and has skin like leather.

Also, different genetics come into play as you get older. Genes for "durability" now become more important than genes for "young beauty". Chronic health conditions like obesity, heart disease, diabetes, etc., can really ravage your looks. Years, in the sun without protection take their toll as well.

I think that concept is primarily driven by wealth accumulated. Men in their mid 30's and beyond are typically set in their careers and starting to make good money. It's no secret that older men are more wealthy (generally speaking) than guys in the twenties and considering how women view wealthy men, they're more desirable. Like it, hate it, it doesn't matter. Women will be with a man because of his wealth and nothing else.

The average age of marriage for men in North America is roughly 32. If you're single at 40 It's because either no one wants you or you don't want to be tied down. The only way to be selected and not be actually desirable is to have money and be used for it, or to be with someone equally undesirable. Money is attractive, but it doesn't make the man attractive. You're pretty screwed if you want to find someone to build a life with if you expect them to not have a significant past that probably includes divorce and children.

Guys in their 40s that are in the dating scene (just like women) also tend to have baggage (divorced, children, men paying spousal and child support support, etc). If you are a single 40 year old bro that’s never been married, no kids, take care of yourself and stays healthy, and has their finances in order, you can still pull chicks, but the quality will still be lacking. Most women in their 20s won’t want a man in his 40s unless he is rich, famous, ridiculously good looking, etc.

I'm 37 and average looking. A bit chubby but not huge. I have a nice beard and dress well so that kind of saves me. And I do notice when I am out at events or for drinks and such, women are far more approachable (in my age range) and easier to flirt with then when I was in my 20's. But they are still just as flakey. And they are far more jaded. They also tend to ask what I do for a living very early in the conversation (sometimes before we formally introduce ourselves to each other).

There is a consensus in the RP community that men age like fine wine and are more desirable in their 40s and beyond - particularly to women in their 20s.

IF you are a guy in his 40s who has kept in shape, aged well, and has a good deal of disposable income you will have more options on average than you did in your 20s. Those options include women in their 40s, many women in their 30s, and a smaller % of women in their 20s.

This is a relatively small % of men. You don't turn 40 and co-eds start throwing themselves at you.

Also even for this group of men most desirable women in their 20s are not going to be interested. Unless you are incredibly good looking or in the top 1-2% of wealth (not income) finding attractive women in their 20's to date when you are an older guy is hard work. Even for guys who check a ton of boxes. Online dating has made it a lot easier to find partners of any age if you are a desirable person. Maybe 10-15% (estimate) of women in their 20s are interested in older men but it is much much easier to find them when you have a sorting mechanism like an online dating app.

If we're looking at 29 then we have about 70 percent attracted up to age 40.

If we're looking at 24 it's about half

21 now we're down to 30 percent ish.

It's not true men in their 40s are more attractive to women in their 20s.

But it is true that men's success rate climbs heavily up to age 30 and then slowly reaches a peak at 50. But it's not with women in their 20's , when they're 40-50. It's more like with women in their 30's.

It doesn’t get easy for the guys who are balding and don’t take care of their bodies, but for the guys who do go to the gym and maintain a six pack, are well groomed and actually age well it does get easier simply because there’s a lot less competition because of the number of men who let themselves go physically and the number who are married and no longer on the dating market.

Even if you don’t have hair, there’s overt of guys who make the shaved head look work very well, it’s mostly about your body, your grooming, the way you dress and career / social standing play a part as well.

My experience as a bald man of almost 50, with a couple of teenage kids, is that dating becomes ridiculously easy at that stage, as long as you stay relatively fit and healthy and have a positive mindset and are good-humoured.

The reason is not money, at least not in my case!

It has more to do with being a more mature individual who knows how to connect with women emotionally and mentally, is not emotionally dependent and has depth of character. In short: being the kind of person other people love to be around.

If you are like that, make the effort to get out and about, and live in a place with a large enough population, meeting and starting sexual relationships with women up to 20 years younger is commonplace.

Dating does get easier for men as they get older but that's because they tend to die younger. As people age the pool of available single men disproportionately shrinks further and further. Eventually you start seeing the supply and demand issue at work, men are hornier so in a dating pool with the two sexes largely equal there will be greater demand for women but eventually the thinning out of men shifts who is in more demand.

It gets easier in the sense that the age range of women willing to date that guy increases. Although there might be fewer single women to date in those age ranges, there are also fewer single men competing (especially as the overall gender skew gets better for men as they age), so overall that’s more potential women to date.

These older women likely aren’t as attractive as the women in their early 20s who aren’t very likely to date older men, but many are still “attractive enough”.

Men don’t necessarily gain physical desirability as they age. Women just lose physical desirability faster. While the guy may be getting less physically desirable overall, he’s still gaining desirability relative to women around his age.

I don’t know of any studies specifically on relative dating desirability (because they’d probably get cancelled and/or berated by feminists and the academic left), but you can see it indirectly through other studies. For example this study shows desirability indices for men and women overall in figure 2 which you can compare for an idea of relative desirability. As you’d expect, women start out much more relatively desirable than men at 18 but rapidly lose desirability over time while men start off at their lowest at 18 and slowly gain until around 50. Even though men’s desirability starts to fall after 50, it’s still relatively higher than women’s at that age.

This doesn’t necessarily mean dating will be “easier” for men in their 40s in beyond since it’s subjective. While it might be easier to find women whose desirability more closely matches your own, you also might not find those women as desirable anymore so it cancels out. Basically, you won’t find the women who thought they were better than you at 18 as attractive anymore when they’re finally in your league.

1st you kind of strawman Red Pill, they only say "if you make something of your live" have some sort of career. If you are old and homless, jobless sure you don't get any action (likely).

No, men in their 40s are not particularly appealing to women in their 20s, in general. A small percentage go for that, but more men than women find that sort of relationship appealing. So it's not an easy market.

Women mostly seem to find men most attractive when they're around the same age as them, so aging doesn't impact the physical appeal if you're trying to date around your own age. If you're trying to date 40 year old women, you're being compared to other men around 40, not around 25.

Physical appearance isn't the only way to appeal either: an awkward 25 year old can often learn a certain amount of charisma by 40, and that'll change his odds.

It's worth noting that Leo D is competing on fame, wealth, and acting skill. A working class guy who looks like him isn't anything special.

It's difficult to say.

After age 40 it's much more rare to get married, but that also may be because a man doesn't want to marry or has already been married once and would rather stay tax filing status single.

The dating pool will look different after 40 as most people date within four or five years of their age so it's not common that a 40 year old would be able to date someone younger than 36 or so. That's not a bad thing though, most people of all genders date within a few years of their age.

Men still get married after 40 but more like one in twenty in the US.

Again, lack of desire to enter into a marriage contract is part of this percentage of unmarried men, it's a happy state for some of them, some throughout their adult lives, and some after they've already been married once.

I met my first GF online 20 years ago...she was hot these days a girl like that can get flown out by a rapper and even though I can afford to fly a girl out she would rather fly out for someone famous and good looking than for an average guy.

I have a friend that's in his 20s he's tall 6'5" conventionally good looking we message the same girls on apps and he actually gets dates with them and they ignore me.

The guys that say it's easier when your older are probably guys that always did well with women having money confidence and experience just helps.

It only gets easier if your attractive now you can afford to entertain all the women that flock to you...If your average or unnatractive it doesn't get easier it gets harder cause your pool of available women is even shallower.

The average 20 something is not going to date the average 40 year old...

To date 20 somethings in your 40s you have to be extremely attractive have high status and money...at 40 dating 30 year Olds will be difficult for the average man

Most women will be single unless they can have the man they want some will settle in their late 30s for a stable man that will give them a kid but more and more women are just choosing to be alone if they can't have Idris Elba...or a guy that treats them the way they want and looks good...

It’s such a stupid idea. There is a small sliver of men who will be better of in their 40s. Most will be in dead end jobs, be obese, and be just as they were in their 20s and 30s. There is no magic glow up for most people in general.

The small sliver of men for whom dating is easier in the 40s than earlier is the small sliver of men who in their mid-20s to mid-30s decided to figure their stuff out, get healthy, and focus on their careers.

Those dudes might look better in their 40s than when they were younger.

But most men won’t do that.

Of course it doesn't. I dunno who is telling you that, but wrinkles, hair loss, a beer belly and less testosterone are NOT attractive to women. Youth is objectively attractive in both genders, now the women that want older more established men ARE NOT "attracted" to them, not sexually at least, they do like the money/ financial confort etc so it's kind of a trade thing, that's just the writing on the wall. If those women could find the same financial resources and benefits in a younger dude, 9 out of 10 times they'd choose the hotter, younger guy. Many women who are younger and end up with older men for stability end up cheating with ... You guessed it, younger broke men. I though that was obvious, I don't know why some men's dating coaches and podcasters keep perpetuating this idea, I think it's to sell a dream to the audience, as in telling them that they, unlike women have time on their sides and they can get to accomplish their goals and acquire wealth and then when they all have that, they will be "the man", age is not a problem and it's never too late. Biology says otherwise though and that is definitely not true, maybe it's true to an extent, if you're in your late thirties or so, but if you look older and are older you're not attractive physically like you were in your twenties.

The stats are against you. 63% of men age 18-29 are single. Meanwhile, only 25% of men aged 30-49 are single.

Surely if it does not get easier, more men would be single as they age.

It doesn't get easier if they've never had a proper relationship before then. There are certain things you can only learn by being in a relationship. As with anything in life, experience is a great teacher.

These men will be in their 40s going through things they should've learned in their 20s/30s.

Why woud anyone say 40+ get easier picks of 20ish women? Not even the RP community says this. What TRP does say is that men have the highest potential of maxing out all 3 of the top attraction statistics in their mid to late 30s. As far as i have observed noone in the RP community claims that of 40+ men.

Women dating men in their 20s have to make a gamble if the guy will be a success. Women dating men in their 40s date the men that have success.

It eliminates the gamble. You can still get good genes and money or status whatever, the trade off being youth. But seeing as women already prefer 5 or so years older, an extra 5 isn't an expensive trade on their part.

It definitely got a lot easier after 35. But not with 20 year olds. However suddenly the 28-40 crowd got very interested. I was a guy who got 0 matches until 35 to rolling around in 30-50 or so on tinder. It’s not what women experience with thousands but it’s definitely a huge difference and it’s nice to be able t choose who i date and not just take whoever I match with.

I think for any dude slightly above average, you gotta get a lock on it from your late 20s to mid-30s. Waiting longer than that is just asking for trouble — you probably won’t even have the energy to keep up.

For average dudes it’s a total myth. I know nerds 30+ who bag 250k and can’t score a date to save their lives.

As someone younger who gets propositioned and asked out by older men, there are decidedly not more attractive and come across as clueless and pervy.

Same men probably do just fine with women their own age.
