I say this, because there seems to be a lot of bitter and angry people who seem like they’ve consistently disappointed by circumstances in life, primarily when it comes to dating, romantic relationships, sex, or marriage.

I know this is a very difficult and tough question to answer, especially considering everyone is coming from different places and backgrounds. Different needs or wants.

I’ll try to keep brief, but what do most of you ultimately want:

Is it a “life partner,” “a void that needs to be filled,” “expectation,” or “someone or people who are present?”

Life Partner- Is basically a friend and/or lover who is essentially a best friend, perhaps soulmate or just two people who click on different levels. Not much time apart, no much separation between the two. Probably romantic partners, but not always necessarily.

A void - Basically anything, place, or person that needs to be fulfilled in your life. Sometimes, it’s a need for a friend, parental figure, guidance, a mentor, a steady romantic partner (s), or certain thing or place. Maybe something you need to accomplish

Expectation - Typically, this is what you think you have to do, because you believe your family, friends, and society wants you have or strive for. You believe this is your ultimate goal or is one of them. It can be a person, place, or thing.

Present “Body” - You basically just want someone or people who are there. You don’t necessarily need them to be your friend or confidant. I want say strictly a provider, like a housewife/house-husband or a major breadwinner, but typically it’s this or someone who just provides shelter, goods, income, sexual needs, or home duties. You don’t really need or want a connection to this person in a way you would with a friendship or close family members. It’s pretty much just arrangement.
