Bi woman here.

My unpopular opinion from dating a lot of women is many women have the same desperate energy for a relationship, as men have for sex.

Women will often think they're more virtuous for this, but for a lot of them, it comes from codependency and wanting to get swept up in a fantasy, not from actually wanting to build a life with that specific person.

Instead of going on dates to access compatibility, and being honest about not having it, many women will meet someone they're into and try to "become" the woman they want.

Examples - My guy friends GF admitted she had a low sex drive, but knew his was high, so she had sex in the beginning even when she wasn't into it to "get" him. My ex knew she wanted cohabitation/kids, I told her date 1 I didn't. 6 months later we broke up because of this very thing, even though initially she said she was still on the fence. Later admitted she wasn't.

I feel like women who do this often play victim or act like later in the relationship, they should be loved "for who they are" even though they know they presented a completely different version of themselves in the beginning.

Or the women who know the person they're seeing only wants casual, but continues in hopes of maneuvering the relationship into a serious one. If someone has told you what they're offering, it's manipulative to try to continue doubling down on changing their mind.

Women will often tell men to "just be themselves" not realizing how often they don't do it themselves, and aren't willing to accept when someone doesn't want what they want.

Probs gonna get hate for this, but I think some women have overly high expectations for their future partners and refuse to see their own flaws.

For example, a friend that I used to be close to (but now only keep in touch with on Instagram) is very overweight and keeps shooting for very hot men. They barely ever respond.

It's totally fine to have a preference, but she'd then moan about the fact "curvy" women have such a hard time and how the chicks these men go for "aren't that hot". This a problem that could easily be solved by losing some weight or aiming for different men — not lashing out at fitter women.

I tolerated her dissing my own weight for a couple of years and tried to be as sympathetic as possible, but then she started messaging me absolute crap about how all men are shit and how I don't know what it's like to have body image issues. (Absolute man-hating BS aside, she also KNEW I had loads of issues with being underweight as a teen.)

So yeah, I definitely think a percentage of women are unable to be objective about where they stand in the dating field and take steps to improve it. I no longer feel sympathy for these women.

Not every choice a woman makes is a feminist choice or good choice. She’s an adult and free to make it, but we need to call each other out on our shit and stop sugar coating things when we see a friend ruining her life. One of my boyfriend’s best friends, a lesbian woman with a more “masculine” communication style, was telling me about how upset one of her friends got when she gently told her she was probably making a mistake by marrying a man she had only dated a month. Women tend to hold back too much and have a “you go girl!” response to everything their friends do to avoid offending them, therefore they aren’t used to being called out by female friends. Sometimes, it’s necessary. We hold each other back by sugar coating the truth.

Sleeping around is not empowering. Being naked is not empowering. There’s a reason world leaders aren’t posing in thongs on magazine covers (other than the fact no one wants to see most of them!). There’s nothing wrong with those things, it makes you happy, then do it. But consider if you are the one benefiting or if it’s men. Power in this world comes from money. Internal power comes from self-actualization. Conversely, I’m also not into the whole “girl boss” thing because… a) just be a boss, and 2) there’s a lot of pressure, privilege, and toxicity in the way it’s presented. Once again, more of a facade for others than oneself.

Some men (a significant enough number) enforce extremely dumb male stereotypes as much or more than women do. Like literally that men are just a dick with arms and legs.
Also some men (a small number but they are prolific) behave psychotically often enough (particularly online) that you can't blame women for being sensitive about it, especially when combined with point #1.
Men's experience is hopelessly divided in such an extreme way between the "haves" and the "have nots" that no unity is possible except possibly for the most basic and simple issues.

That girls are cleaner than guys. I'm definitely cleaner than my bf and I do know a lot of especially older women who were raised to do a lot of the cleaning. But when I look at my generation so many of my female friends are just as gross as their male counterparts. In some cases the guy is actually much better at cleaning. It comes down to how they were raised - what standards of cleanliness were they raised with AND whether they were made to do so by parents or not.

By most modern morality systems, male instincts are less moral on the whole than women's. Thus, men are, on average, probably 'worse' people than women are by any overall accounting using modern morality.

It doesn't necessarily have to be that way. Men have other compensating qualities, and their worst tendencies can be reigned in. But men need more socialization than women do for this to happen, and the extreme individual freedom of modern liberal societies no longer can provide that. We only have the law now. No local community. Family. Religion. This generally serves well to restrain violent impulses. But it doesn't help men overcome weaknesses to temptation, sloth, bad habits, selfishness, etc.

As Jesus said, one person sharpens another like iron sharpens iron. But this is much more true for men than women. Isn't much sharpening going on today.

I agree with you having been in a female dominated profession (teacher). As a result, I have a healthy distrust of other women after being a lifelong victim of mean girls, including my own mom.

I actually aspired to be a SAHM growing up. I question if women really are free today because of the expectations on us that our grandmas didn't have (have it all, lean in, etc.)

While I believe other women have the choice to do what they want with their bodies, for myself, I'm pro-life with exceptions for rape and health concerns with myself or my child.

And nobody truly wants to be a sex worker. Most are trafficked into it or using it to escape bad situations (abuse, poverty, etc.) All of these views make me a traitor to my gender, I guess.

Speaking generally and anecdotally, some women I've known are fantastic, supportive friends during good times, but had terrible conflict resolution skills. That includes me too, over the years, I've had to learn to be more straightforward, initiate more, less afraid of conflict, more calm, have better boundaries and less passive aggressive.

The main reason men are having less sex now is porn acting as a pressure release valve for the male sex drive.

Meeting women and trying to flirt was always hard and risky, but men's raging hormones push us to do it anyway. If you have post-nut-clarity, going out and chatting up women sounds way less appealing, especially if you're an introvert.

In my experience, women are more rational than men, mainly because they’re not as secure in their opinions, and are used to being criticized whenever they express their beliefs - as a result, they’re more likely to consider opposing points of view. Someone else said something similar, but men are not emotionally stronger than women. I believe the emotional strength is equal between genders, but just manifests differently.

Men are more likely to self-soothe, women will use other people. I am definitely the former and it works well in most of life except for intimate relationships.

Also men have a more brittle strength, but women’s are more ductile. They bounce back more easily from heartache and catastrophe. For men, there’s a lot of everyday stuff that rolls off our backs but once the levee is breached that joker may never be repaired.

I think most gender roles are dumb, pointless, and arbitrary. The fact that some will claim to believe men and women are equal then look down on "feminine" men and "masculine" women is the most ridiculous thing to me. For me, the one that is 50-50 can perform a task most effectively. I have a male friend, and he is not as chill as I have expected :) he pays meticulous attention or something like that to everything, especially money. And I must say he is so dramatic. Obviously, people have different personalities, and not everyone gender always has its own stereotype. But those individuals who are in 50-50 teams can usually fix each other very well if they are willing to accept their mistakes, of course. Women gossips a lot....right. This hasn't been my experience at all. I guess it just depends on the people involved. I've worked in a team of all or almost all women with no drama, and currently work in a team of almost all men - there's so much gossiping and tattling, in the past couple of weeks there have been two guys having major meltdowns bawling crying etc. Honestly, I don't find generalisations about gender like this to be useful as it can really depend on the individual personalities of the group as well as how they mix together.

I can get along with anyone in the workplace, but in my experience men (usually) make better bosses. It’s not an issue of intelligence or competence, it’s just that women seem to be less likely to have the personality traits that make for good leadership. (In my experience at least.)

Due to the nature of my job I have a new boss every few years, and I've only experienced one toxic woman boss while having several toxic men bosses. I actually agree with yours OP.

This is similar to yours...but I find it way easier to be friends with the average male than the average female. I have very good female friends now, so its not that I can't be friends with women, but numbers-wise, its easier for me to make friends with men than women. I find women tend to be petty (disliking others for very stupid reasons), catty, more manipulative, more likely to try to compete with me and turn it into a jealous frenemy situation, and I think females are much more likely to hold grudges. Whenever I have conflict with my male friends, 90% of the time we talk about it, move on and I dont find out 2 years later they still hold a grudge on me about it when I thought everything is fine. With men, I dont assume our friendship will die a slow death after some minor conflict. I also have a straight forward personality and I find females tend to react negatively towards it, even when they know Im not mean and Im only confrontational when I want to resolve something.

I will note I actually have had a few men act the way I described above, but its very rare (my first male childhood friend is one example). However, I have so many examples of females doing the above I could write a bookseries about it.

The world would probably be a more peaceful and less stressful place with more women in leadership. If you replaced the top leadership of the US, Russia and China with women, I’m willing to believe that the risk of military conflict would be substantially lower.

This is very specific and idk if it fully relates but…NFL/NBA wives grind my fucking gears dude. I’m such a feminist and believe to each their own, women can choose whatever life they want for themselves, etc. But these women that do absolutely nothing meaningful with their lives and make their entire personality revolve around being their husband’s wife makes me want to barf.

That other women are boring. I have a hard time making female friends because all they want to talk about are their husband/ boyfriend drama or their annoying kids.
