We need more of these posts because it's not something any woman is socialized to consider. We all know about overtly abusive men and narcissists, but this is a level of insidiousness that I wasn't aware of before FDS.

Men want guaranteed sex so they will pretend to be in a relationship with a woman who will give them that and not go anywhere, all the while not even liking or caring about her.

A few lessons to learn from this:

Leave at the first sign of disrespect. I guarantee this is not the first time he has done something like this. It probably started with subtle negs in the beginning (“x is wrong with you, but you’re not like other girls because you’re loyal”🙄) and probably turned into triangulation with his friends, which is why he felt comfortable posting something like this publicly on social media.
If you didn’t leave at the first sign of disrespect, make sure this is the last. Public humiliation and degradation is a stepping stone to more toxic behavior. It does NOT get better from here. You have a window of support from people who are appalled by this behavior. But that window will close more and more the longer you stay and tolerate it.
Don’t give ugly men a chance. They will not be grateful to have you. They will not be grateful for your loyalty. Instead, they will resent you and mock you for it.
Don’t be afraid to end a relationship during the holidays. He’s not afraid to humiliate you during the holidays. Let him figure out his dinner plans on his own. Maybe he can go eat with his LV friends that he was showing out for on social media.

First of all, she's super gorgeous.

Secondly, this guy just gives off major meathead vibes, and like his primary concern is showing off to other men that he's "powerful" and can "own" a woman.

Lastly, yes, too many men seem to be concerned with dating someone for status with other men rather than how much of a good fit they are. I've seen men reject pretty, sweet and accomplished women that ought to be super compatible with them because the women were on the chubbier side, even though the guy was heavier himself. Women need to understand that for a lot of men we are nothing more than a commodity. We are to be used for sex, cooking, cleaning, child rearing, money and when it’s convenient for them we can be used as chess pieces to further a social, religious or political agenda. “True love” is a myth. This is so true. There is a man I’ve always had in the back of my head. We have crossed paths for the past three years.
