There was a recent viral post on Reddit that I’ll link here where a man essentially is complaining that he found his wife’s “go bag” and was deeply hurt by it and considering divorce as a result. He was met by an avalanche of comments from women telling him how right his wife was to have the go bag based on his reaction and that it somehow doesn’t show her lack of trust in him that she has it in the first place.

That would be a somewhat okay position to take if many of those same women didn’t openly disparage men for wanting prenups or paternity tests. It seems to me that for viral posts like this women keep finding a way to take less and less responsibility for their own actions. They demand that the men they’re with give them bottomless trust by not doing a prenup or dna test while simultaneously saying that their clear lack of trust in their partner is just something we as men have to deal with.

It’s becoming increasingly clear to me that the endgame of feminist politics is for men to shoulder almost all the accountability while women become more powerful. This stopped being about equality a long time ago.
