Think about it:

  • a short "butterface" girl with a plump ass would do great on Tinder, but a short bulked guy with a unattractive face would probably struggle
  • a ghostly pale darker chick is seen as a 'gothic mommy gf', a pale guy is seen as pasty and unattractive outside a niche subculture
  • plus sized women now pass as thick and voluptuous bbw's, yet overweight men are generally seen as out of shape ("dad bod" is a misnomer)
  • skinny women are still considered the ideal by a the mainstream, slim men are generally seen as scrawny and weak and advised to hit the gym

Before someone posts "who would've thought girls like attractive guys"; you are missing the point. This isn't about denying that women like attractive dudes, it is merely suggesting that the the minimum looks threshold for what passes as "attractive" in men is much higher.
