Source: I am pretty slender, so men feel that they can trash talk overweight women to me, thinking that I will gladly join the pile-on.

Say what you will about obesity being a major public health issue (it obviously is), but I find it curious that overweight women are the ones receiving ALL of the hate, despite men making up the majority of the obese population.

So yeah, you want to weed out the LVM, bring up the obesity issue without even specifying the gender, and watch the misogynistic comments come rollin’ in.

First off, I love the word perturb. It should be used more often. And my response: having hobbies that don’t revolve around impressing them. Once had a strange man comment on the fact that I rode my bike to work. This was many years ago and I was in my early twenties and couldn’t afford a car at the time. But I enjoyed bicycling anyway and he and I spoke about how nice bike riding is. He went creepy really fast and I shut him down immediately. Apparently anything we do has the potential to be “sexy” to lvm. And when you tell them “actually...it’s not. I’m just over here breathing and transporting myself from point a to point b”, they get upset 🤷🏻‍♀️

I mean, I don't know of any women that exclusively used the dog filter on OLD photos, it would be just one out of a bunch, but scrotes are very, very triggered by this. Flowers!!!!!

I started making arrangements and just filling my house with them I love spending around $40 a week on flowers (sometimes more hehe they're so worth it) and I go to so many different shops and groceries stores literally just for flowers and I always have a vision of exactly what kind I want that week and where they'll go and how I want to build an arrangement or if I just want a certain color somewhere. Older male cashiers have been grumpy:/ without fail every time I buy them I get a comment about "who're those for" "lucky guy" "aw thanks you shouldn't have gotten them for me" "wow what are all those flowers for" either from them or a male stranger and its been a great way to practice

The old male cashiers especially get upset when they decide to make the awful joke (?) and I'd tell them I didn't and so I don't laugh (it's not funny..? lol) I worked as a grocery cashier during the pandemic and I made jokes and lots of people laugh and acting like someone was buying anything for me was...never my approach. idk lol but men seem to get angry. I just say I love myself and they're for me and go about my merry way. The dirtier of looks I get the more I smile and mind my business :) maybe its frivolous maybe they're bitter idk

They make me so happy and I want to make every girl in this world a bouquet (only if they want) bc they deserve them and if you can please go buy yourself flowers

Yesterday i was driving, my neighborhood has a lot of small streets where only one car can fit through etc. I was coming down a hill and a dude was parked on the side with his door wide open (taking up all the space as they do). I slowed as i approached, he shut the door and moved aside so I could drive by. I just drove right by and didn’t acknowledge him and i heard him yell at the top of this lungs YOU’RE WELCOME! I talked to someone about how my grades are the one thing I can objectively say, yes I’m doing this right(I was younger and more self deprecating then). He couldn’t trip over himself fast enough to say “Well actually, you wahmen, it just means you mindlessly know how to work and that’s why companies prefer C’s get degrees type people” blah blah blah. I almost let it get me down but then I was like, no, like I’ve studied these aspects to education(not for school, for a job I had) like look at these classes I took. I literally needed critical thinking, deeper levels of reasoning, etc. to do this. I didn’t have to mindlessly memorize anything. Also, even if I did want to devote my life to helping a gigantic corporation make a profit, there’s no way a company will look at your recent grades and think “C” in a critical area will look good. First, they absolutely do look at recent graduates grades(especially with no experience). Second, my excellent grades were also a practical use because of scholarships and a program I want to get into. He was so silent after that before saying “Well you’re the exception but you know what I mean”. Quickly dropped that avenue of conversation after that. I think because I turned out to be better educated than him and he was jealous I devoted my life to bettering while he devoted his life to dead end jobs and dead end short “relationships”.(And he weirdly thought Good Will Hunting was about himself). He always thought he was better than everyone, but never took an objective test(not even in K-12) to see if he did and would always psych himself out before the opportunity presented himself.
