I would like to add a bit of a regional migration element to this. Just wait until red states outlaw abortion and/or contraceptives. Many women of childbearing age will move to blue states for their own bodily safety aka, not having to die because of ectopic pregnancy or being forced to birth their rapist's baby. I think attractive young women will leave red states and not attend college there. It's already happening.

I disagree. I share your assessment of American women but I don't think they're overrated. In order for them to be overrated there would have to be significant numbers of men talking about how great and wonderful American women are. I don't see that. I don't see it in the United States and I don't see it abroad. In fact the only people I ever see propping up American women are other American women.

So yes, they are entitled, obese and insufferable but pretty much everybody acknowledges that. The stereotype within the international community of the fat, stupid, lazy American doesn't just apply to American men. It applies to the fairer sex as well.

As for your last paragraph about having the option to pick up women abroad...well, what's preventing you? Getting a passport is relatively easy and traveling is a wonderful thing. Seeing other parts of the world can really broaden your perspective on a great many things. And here's the kicker about the fat, stupid, lazy American stereotype. If you actually show up in a foreign country and aren't fat, lazy or stupid then doors (and legs) are likely to open for you. Most personal barriers dissolve when one party makes a good faith effort to get to know the other party so get your passport, book a flight and make that effort.

In my experience foreigners, even if they have a negative view of Americans as a whole, are typically very interested in having a conversation with the living, breathing, flesh-and-blood American traveler who's sitting in front of them in their home country and interacting with them as an open minded person. After all, taking the plunge and visiting a foreign country shows a certain level of cosmopolitanness (is that a word?) in and of itself.

There might be more over weight women in the USA but its also true that it has one of the highest rates of single women and also some of the most sexually liberated women in the world. And the hot American girls are some of the cutest girls in the world, it’s not like there are a shortage of pretty single american women, also, it’s a cultural melting pot, you don’t need to travel to find exotic flavour, you have it all on your doorstep. I haven’t really spent time in another country so I can’t comment on the comparison in America. I have noticed that people seem less attractive than in the past. Although, I grew up in a very small town where there were almost no attractive females 25-30 years ago. Unflattering fashion trends may also play a role in that. I have no idea.
