Men are responding by pointing out that women on social media and in popular culture have made it taboo to approach women in every day life.

Women are responding to that by saying men should go to bars, clubs, parties, and niche hobby clubs instead.

I mean, if you're going to confine the appropriate settings to such a niche and infinitesimally small area of life, you might as well just admit you discourage men from ever approaching women.

Only a certain type of women go to bars and clubs, hobby groups have an even narrower participation group. You're basically making most women off limits to most men.
