Reminds me of a guy I was seeing last fall pre FDS. HOLY CRAP. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the reasons they got to that salary level is from the support of their wives. Housecleaning, cooking, dishes, laundry, childcare, managing social calendar, managing HER looks so she looks good to his coworkers and boss, making/tracking/keeping appointments, listening to his woes, etc. etc. All the invisible and devalued labor she provides to boost him every day. And perhaps he is "helping" with some of these things; still the overwhelming amount of this labor falls to the woman.

Last year, during the lockdowns in the US many people were posting up videos of their workouts or 'challenges' they were doing on instagram or tiktok. One I happened to see was a professional athlete doing a workout/dance challenge with his wife/girlfriend and the comments beneath it (on an official major league instagram account) were all ripping into her for her appearance and snidely remarking "oops, looks like he kept the girl from before he got signed!" and various other statements essentially saying she wasn't attractive enough to be the woman he'd be with.

He was dressed in shorts and tshirt. She was dressed in workout sweats and a tshirt or crewneck pullover. Brunette. Not ugly, just dressed for working out and not wearing makeup or jewelry and didn't appear to be a size 0-2. Maybe a size 6, not sure. And that's what set them off.

I got used like this. It gave me trust issues for life. They, LVM /NVM, take and take and take and take from you. Then when you need support, resources, connections, anything, poof suddenly they’re busy, suddenly it “wouldn’t be appropriate” for hem to help you. Suddenly, the tables are turned, and turned against you.

This is exactly why I keep vetting and will never stop vetting and observing. You never know, you might be dealing with a skilled, practiced actor who KNOWS he’s A POS but still wants access to HVM women. He knows he has to hide in plainsite, and perform convincingly.

This is why, as much as possible, I reserve, conserve, and focus my energy, my time, my mental space, my connections, on myself. I can’t afford to be wrong. I’ve been wrong too many times. I’ve been lied to, manipulated, gaslite, abused, way too many times.

If he wants my trust, my time, my energy, my mental space, he has to earn it. Period. It’s not negotiable, he either demonstrates value in my life, again and again and again as nauseum, or he’s out.

I have too much I need to do, too many things I have to do. My life is my own, I deserve to be happy and healthy, and I must conserve my time, energy, and mental labor, making sure I’m investing in myself, my future, my health, for my future self to enjoy.
