That’s because those men don’t want commitment. I have said this once, and I will say this again: hook ups suck for most women. There is evidence that it sucks for women, and that most women write their hook ups as being terrible. The few women who do like hookups will obviously get leverage.

This is why women don’t do as well in sales as men. Sales is literally the ability to handle rejection over and over without it crushing you internally. People in sales are always looking for ways to get around the constant rejection. Being a woman is like being a pharma rep when they invent viagra. The dream sales job of basically selling what everyone wants.

Age hits women differently than men in that women suddenly notice how life seems to get harder. When women are young they are subjected to constant attention from all men. As they age they get less attention from the men they want attention from. Suddenly they have this moment where the magic power of female easy mode doesn’t work. I agree that the dating field is set up for women to be more selective, where men have to do more to attract women and women are a bit more selective. However, from what I've seen and know about dating preferences, this is a small part of a bigger picture for men and women want from relationships...

To discuss your main assumption at your point, men seek to get laid and get upset when they don't have it. I agree, I think there are more men who want this than women, but men want much more than just getting laid and different points in time. We are human, we want connection, partnership, trust and affection. Both men and women. And being deprived of these things can have a worse impact, than only being deprived of sex. For instance, if you went on the forever alone subs, they rarely discuss their lack of sex, but rather their need to be held and loved. Some men and women don't need that, or have struggled forming those relationships, and prefer to be alone but get sex... Which is fine... But your point that 90%of men need to put in work for sex and 90% of women dont need to, most likely for most people that's not the end goal. It's a long lasting healthy connection with a life partner, and to achieve that, takes a lot of effort from both. So even if it's true I don't think it stands as a defining feature outside of this echo chamber. I think this sub tends tends to be from younger men who haven't really gained too much experience of successfully dating for relationships, especially because a focus on dating for sex hasn't taught them how to identify who and how to date for partnership not just sex, and have become jaded when the people they select either didn't feel like they can offer them more than sex or were the easy type that wanted sex and money, making them less successful partners for anything but sex.

This is absolutely true in my case - though not for average person reasons - as a 29 year old straight man many many things have proven infinitely easier - much to my detriment - than having sex with or being in a relationship with a girl: getting free ride to HYPSM without studying or trying in school, hitting $2M in net worth by age 22, hitting $600k in income in a single year by age 23, escaping my hyper religious hyper physically and mentally abusive immigrant parents by doing the previous two things, getting to 8% body fat, etc etc, this after first getting laid and getting into a serious relationship at around age 16.

My main problem now that I've solved the basic problems by being super good at making money is that Americans are so fucking stupid at math, computer science, and statistics that if you can just breathe and do any of things to a mediocre capacity you are guaranteed to be a billionaire. The world's youngest self-made billionaire is: US Citizen, native English speaker, good at math. The richest young non male self-made - not counting Kylie Jenner for obvious reasons: US Citizen, native English speaker, good at math. There is a famous reddit user who's business has been making him $2M+ in profit that he keeps since age 22 and his net worth hit $20M by age 29: US Citizen, good at math, native english speaker, etc.

My solution is to just move to developed East Asia where I can still make $200k to $300k a year but (A) am no longer the smartest man in town due to the billions of people competing, (B) require a VISA just to live in the country, (C) can meet more girls through math as the gender ratio is only terrible in the West.
