Title is my question. I'm sure we've all have our lived experiences even though they would be down voted if we said them. I have four big ones I really believe from years of dating and seeing my friends date:

1) I have a female friend who tried being proactive with dating. She would take an active role in asking the guy for a 2nd date, planning it and so on.

The problem is she found out most men just go along with it even if they're not attracted to her. A ton of guys are like "sure we can get pizza. Sure we can hookup. Sure we can go to the lake." And then 2 months go by, and she realizes they don't even like her.

She now sticks to traditional dating roles letting the guy do the heavy lifting initially showing that he actually does like her which has been working out better for her.

2) I think most men are totally okay with waiting to have sex and taking things slow when it comes to intimacy, the problem is we're terrified of ending up in friendzone land if we don't make any moves.

I'm not saying women reject guys who are too passive, but it definitely seems that way. There's this really weird pressure of having to escalate things and reach certain milestones (kiss, making out and sex) in certain windows of time. It's stressful. I would love to just go with the flow, but that doesn't work for me or other males I know.

3) Men, and I'm assuming women, typically know if you're relationship material after 1-2 dates.

4) People have their cellphones on them all the time. I literally have a friend who's a neurosurgeon who replies back to texts messages fairly quickly (assuming he's not in surgery). I never once was able to build a relationship with someone who takes 16 hours to respond to simple texts. It was always a sign of disinterest.

What's your unpopular opinion?
