I can't speak for every guy, but you don't have to be bad with women or repressed to feel that way. Some guys are simply severely traumatized by promiscuous women, either from cheating and/or paternity fraud or by other abuses that have nothing to do with sex.

My advice to sluts of all genders: discretion is your safest path of conduct. It is better to miss out on partners while retaining control of your reputation than to gain partners at the cost of your reputation.

I don't know that I've heard men say that they hate sluts. Some guys actually prefer sluts because it's a chance to have sex with no commitment. I know a few guys like that. They prefer "sluts" because it's an easy lay and they don't have to worry about her trying to lock them down into a relationship.

Many guys probably avoid getting into relationships with "sluts" though because they don't want to get cheated on, and they don't like the idea of a bunch of other guys having banged their girlfriend and the embarrassment that come with that.

If men hated sluts, then porn advertisements like "hot sluts in your area" would be the exact wrong approach.

Not at all. I think that behind this hate of 'sluts', there is a need to own and control female body. Some guys have a hard time accepting the fact that woman can do whatever she wants with her pussy and it's not really your business. It is not limited to religious guys - but rather specific for 'nice guys', behind this pedestalizing of women and false care about their safety, or false care about morality, there is a need to claim exclusive ownership over female body. No, but I hate it when other guys and girls call other girls sluts. When you ask what they did to get that whore label, it’s rarely warranted and with women it’s almost always the pot calling the kettle black. Men that often call women sluts are usually sexually frustrated.

As far as sluts, I would like to date cute girls who go on dates. I’m not really aware of very many of those girls that would go 3 months without sex, so do the math. I’m not thinking about it, because in most cases who knows.

I think the hate some men have towards sluts comes two places :

Resentment at not being chosen. They hear about how these women are fucking everyone with a dick but they themselves can't seem to get sex/dates.
Basic misogyny. Women are made to have children. Women control men with sex. Women should not have control over their lives. Etc.

I don't, and my friends don't either. That said, a lot of guys do. Some are depressed religious types, some are unsuccessful with women, but some are neither.

Some men get validation from sleeping with women who have had few or no partners before them. It's because they see it as women doing something special because they are special. If the woman doesn't see sex as something special, then a guy isn't special for hooking up with them. It's weird and took me a long time to get this, but it is a thing.
Women who show they are desperate for validation (including but not limited to validation through having sex) is a bit of a turn off for me. Some guys think that women who are up for casual sex are generally doing that. Once again, not my opinion, but it's out there.
Some guys have unprocessed baggage. They though that having sex with a woman meant the woman was really into them. Then they fell for that woman and found out they were dead wrong, she just wanted to fuck. There is a good lesson in that experience, but some guys just miss it.

Anyways, yeah, a lot of guys hate (or dislike, or don't want to date/marry) promiscuous women, for a range of reasons.

Like I do believe that ultimately true fulfilment can come from finding a life partner to share your life with, share your feelings, hopes and dreams with, and sexual intimacy with that partner who understands you is better than sexual intimacy with randos. That's how I feel.

I don't understand what men or women get from sleeping around with lots of different people with no commitment. Like I understand that its exciting and exhilarating, and you can try new experiences like threesomes or whatever, but I imagine that would get old quick and you would want someone who you love to commit to. I feel this is especially true for women, cause women more often than men need to feel an emotional connection with someone to want sex. Like guys can get horny for anything, even someone they've only seen a picture of, whereas women usually need to know the guy a little bit.

But ultimately I absolutely do not hate "sluts", I do not hate anyone. I wish everyone finds happiness and fulfilment in life. If a woman or man enjoys sleeping around with lots of different people, that's great, but I would ask eventually if it's something they want to do forever, or if they wouldn't really genuinely prefer to find a permanent life partner. And if it's something they want to do forever, hey no judgement at all. Everyone should pursue happiness and fulfilment and enjoyment in life as long as they aren't hurting anyone else.

I know a guy my age who is still the party type who likes going to parties and clubs and hooking up and having casual sex and no-commitment relationships, whilst everyone else I know is settling down, finding a permanent stable relationship and getting married; and I can't help but ask myself when's he gonna mature and find an actual serious relationship. But again, its his life, no judgement, you do you.

It's nothing personal. It's the sum of their impact on society that is hated. One slut isn't an issue, but when the percentage is high enough that there is a significant chance that any woman you date is/was a slut, then that is an issue. Add in how they encourage other women to experiment with promiscuity who might otherwise not, and the issue grows.
The hate is because they make it rarer to find a good wife.

You don't want to date single mothers
You don't want to befriend them
You stop seeking them after sex is off the table
You have sex with them but do not commit
You say you like younger women

We know we shouldn't like them. We talk shit about not wanting them. We talk a lot of shit about avoiding them and a lot of us still end up mixed up with one. Some learn a lesson, some dont. The more self aware among us would never enter a serious relationship with one.

At the end of the day compare to women with bad boys, or just emotionally unavailable men or fuckboys. You know they aren't good for you so you talk shit and confer with one another as a means of bolstering your walls against them. Individuals have some greater or lesser tendency to go for them or even fall for them. I haven't seen men in general IRL express a hatred for sluts, more like a disdain or disgust.

I've seen (and my closest friend talks about experience the same thing) both religious and promiscuous men have expressed disdain or disgust for sluts.

A lot of men have a double standard, and will happily be promiscuous and sleep with promiscuous woman, but will deem them unworthy of respect and love. (I've seen men in an online space mock women who are promiscuous after sleeping with them.)

IMO you can judge how a society feels about sluts by how pornstars/OF models are treated, and how the men who get into relationships with them are treated. I've seen rampant disgust and disdain expressed in those women's comments sections and on youtube, along with for the men who date them.

I don't hate sluts. When I was single, they were fun to flirt with. Rarely did anything with them since their energy usually didn't match mine. Out of my 'body count' of 11 (which was finalized at age 25 when I met my wife who is #11), I'd say only 1 was a "slut."

"Slut" and "promiscuous" are also different. "Slut" implies actually sleeping around. "Promiscuous" to me just implies very flirty, will likely do lots of things up to sex, but doesn't necessarily have a high 'body count.'

In my experience in my friend circles, which are likely not going to be representative of Reddit of all places, we used to look at 'sluts' with a mixture of amusement and detached affinity - like "go get it girl" kind of energy from guys, even though we ourselves weren't usually into pursuing girls like that. Sometimes we'd even treat them like a girl version of 'one of the guys' - pull pranks and joke on them, etc. - stuff that I definitely don't want to be posting here...we were dumbasses sometimes, but it was hilarious at the time and the girls didn't seem to mind. Very few women actually are "sluts", though. Way less than most people think, especially on here.

Out of my core friend group of 4 (and this is the core group) - 2 of us (including me) have slept with a "slut." The other one pretty much always had great girlfriends (we'd all comment that, except for his very first relationship, he always somehow managed to have amicable breakups...it was remarkable...he's now married with a kid and the second on its way), and the other one is an incel.

I would also note that I'm not against dating a woman who was formerly promiscuous, assuming they're now looking for something serious and they've been tested for STIs.

I think men do psychologically the samething on this topic that alot of women do when it comes to being asked about "bad boys". Men LOVE girls who give it up easy, especially if they are hot, but they don't want to support potential manipulative behaviour, in general, so they say they don't, and maybe they even want to believe that. I just don’t rate normal men as deserving of casual sex. So when women give it away easily it’s slightly disappointing, hence my slight disgust to it.

What I don't like about sluts is that it is very obvious in them how they reject me for my height. Just because they are more uninhibited does not make them better people.

I like that sluts don't judge me for wanting to have sex early into a relationship, or rather have sex at all without an emotional bond. Compared to other women, not being judged is a breath of fresh air. Tbh it feels like I am stuck between chairs, I still feel shame for wanting to bang lots of women. Regular women make me feel worse for wanting to do so but I am still too inhibited for sluts and frankly not Chad enough.

Also they tend to be all over the place emotionally. I don't want to hate on them too much but I suspect there are a lot of promiscuous women that just have undiagnosed ADHD, Bipolar or plainly need to get their alcoholism in check. With some of them it's so bad that it is hard to even be friends with them, let alone date them.

I don't hate any individual person (or at least I try not to lol), but I hate slutty behaviour & the kind of worldview that accepts sluttiness.

I'm disgusted by sluts. I'm OK having them as friends, but probably not close friends, & I wouldn't date them (this is all assuming that I know that they're a slut). I *might* date a former slut, though probably not.

Going by what they've told me & how they've behaved around me, my male friends generally see things the same way I do, i.e. they hate sluttiness but don't hate sluts. Some of my more liberal male friends are pro-promiscuity without (AFAIK) engaging in such behaviour themselves. Some of my male friends have a promiscuous past but regret it.

I myself am a man who's unsuccessful with women. I think it's fair to describe me as sexually repressed, & I'm religious.

If a person has sex with you on a first date . All it means is they had sex with you on that date . They could have declined sex or had lots of dates that went nowhere. Which is highly probable in the current SMV and RMV environment.

And, of course, I would have no problem dating a slut (as long as they have no transferable STDs, of course. Even sluts can have safe sex!), and I don't really see the problem. If the idea is that their past indicates they will cheat... no it doesn't. A history of cheating is a predictor of future cheating, not a history of casual sex.

No, this is something I see happens online only. Friends would warn you if a girl is promiscuous though, particularly if you're trying to GF the girl.

As an addendum I've seen sluts/whores used as an insult. But usually it's the other way around: the term would be used on people they already hate. I've also seen it used (as an insult) more often by women rather than men.

The fact that there is a word for a woman who has sex beyond what someone might find acceptable but no such word exists for men should speak volumes about the men who use that word. In reality slut says way more about men's insecurities, inadequacies and hypocrisy that it does about the character of women. Secure, confident men do not care about the number of sexual partners anyone else has had. As silly as it is, it's fine if your preference is for less sexually experienced women. But the moment you start categorizing some as sluts, you are exposing your true character and deserve to be absolutely miserable and alone.

I can't hate someone for what they choose to do with their own body. And sluts have their time and place during one's life. And men can be sluts too, and very often are. I haven't seen hatred for sluts, just the general " she's a cum dumpster " type comments. Hatred sounds like someone or some type of people living rent free in your head.
