There was a study done that pretty much explained that males rate themselves above what women do and think themselves more attractive than they are perceived by women. While women rated themselves closer to what males rated them. Or they had a more realistic view of where their attractiveness level is. Either way it makes sense for women to be pickier about who they sleep with since pregnancy is a factor. There is no reason to risk so much on your body and mind for a sub par male.

Who’s to say she really is less attractive than him though? Men overestimate their own attractiveness too, and according to studies I’ve come across, even more so than women. Not that many people are really 7-8/10, vast majority fall in the 4-6 category. More likely he is hitting on a woman he thinks is less attractive but is equal or better, then getting mad when she rejects him. Plus people can reject you for all sorts of reasons even if you are more attractive. Maybe she has a partner, isn’t interested in men, doesn’t want to be approached at that time, or he came off weird. You never know.

Bottom line is, approaching someone you think is beneath you with the assumption they must be interested, is pretty much the definition of “entitled.”

Men tend to assume the woman thinks they’re better than them simply because they’re rejecting.

For example, a hot guy off the street asked for my number. I said sure, and later that day he asked if I would come over to his house for dinner.

I told him I would think about it, but I wanted to be very clear in that I do not know him so it would definitely not be a booty call even if it was the best date but rather I don’t want to give an impression and hurt feelings or cause frustration.

He said he understood and was fine with that. Cool.

A few hours later, he stated he was fine if I wanted to spend the night.

He said if I changed my mind I would be alright to spend the night.

I said I wanted to be clear that this would not be happening what so ever.

…. This made me uncomfortable so I cancelled the date.

…and this resulted to an hours worth of screaming voicemails calling me the n word, telling me I think I’m hot shit and can treat anyone the way I want just because I have a pussy, telling me I’m egotistical, and eventually threatening to kill me (cops were involved afterward).

Here’s the thing, he felt like I was talking down to him thinking I was ‘better’ than him. (He also put out there he would graciously give me another chance, after he threatened to kill me, too, fyi.)

But the truth was, I really did think he was pretty hot, and if I would have compared him to me… I would say he was enough to make me feel pretty intimidated.

…. But I canceled the date because I was afraid of some guy drugging and raping me over at his house. Not because I thought I was a supermodel who deserved to have my boots licked.

This has also happened another time, when I was interested in getting to know a guy but when he commented during the date about not wanting anything committal and just wanting a casual hookup, he accused me of thinking I was ‘all’ that and how I’m ‘too fat’ to think I’m as good as I am.

…at the time I was fat, and I was under no delusion of thinking I was the next Kate Moss, let’s be real.

…but I don’t want to have one night stands when I’m looking for a committed relationship because people looking for committed relationships do not look for people who keep having one night stands: if you want something serious then you be serious, so serious people find you.

Aside from that, I’m usually optimistic and hopeful because I get excited meeting new people and ‘this could be something awesome’ is actually what I’m thinking, not ‘ugh this peeon trash let me get this over with because I’m a queen.’

And to be frank, none of my women friends have behaved that way either. I won’t lie in that I have one friend who is a little high maintenance with designer purses and cried once when her nails were done wrong at a nail salon so yeah she’s a little bit of a princess—but even with her, I have never seen her actively take the legitimate behavior of ‘I’m better than this guy and he’s a 6 while I’m a 12, so he better kiss my ass because he’s lucky.’

It wasn’t, now it is) It’s a really, really big ask. People should expect to hear no, really, not the other way around. A relationship consumes an enormous amount of ones time, energy, and resources. I realize they may only be asking for a first date, but if I already know I don’t want to go anywhere one date could lead, why bother?

Your post implies that men need to put these women in their rightful places by "bringing them down to earth". Their reason for rejecting the men might just be simple preference or it might be arrogance. Either way, men are NOT in a position of authority where they can police the "attitude" of some women. That is infantilizing behaviour. If she says no, leave, maybe? Don't try to bring her down. She rejected you, that doesn't give you the right or justification to harass her.

To be complety clear, nobody deserves anything, but nobody should stay in toxic relationships. I don't understand women who say they "deserve a nice tall moneyman". Nobody is entitled to a relationship, or sex, but I do understand men and women who are told they don't deserve being treated poorly.

Personal opinion, but this post is sorta weird and scary. "I'm doing because they need a dose of reality! It's justice!" like, no, you're just being imposing, vengeful and even now you're asking for validation from others for your poor attitude. :( weird and scary.

There are plenty of people more attractive than me who I wouldn’t want to sleep with or date, even if I was single.

If I’m gonna sleep with someone in a hypothetical situation where I’m single and ready to mingle, I have to be reasonably convinced that I can’t do the job better myself. Otherwise it’s just not gonna be worth the risk. Good looks aren’t enough to get the job done—the person has to make me feel comfortable and they have to show that they have some amount of interest in my desires.

It’s also very easy to lose my interest until I’m actually invested. The things that turn me off do not appear to have any rhyme or reason to them and while I could tell you that something mundane rubbed me the wrong way I couldn’t tell you why. Sometimes I just don’t like someone’s vibe.

Obviously I am not representative of any woman besides myself. I am not a particularly social person and when I find someone I get along really well with I’m willing to initiate an actual relationship.

It’s not always a matter of not being attractive enough, sometimes your approach just doesn’t work on the woman you’re approaching. The “why” depends entirely on the woman in question.

Maybe she’s taken and her partner is away from the table/bar. Maybe she doesn’t like your vibe or approach. Maybe she’s single but not looking for a hookup at all. Maybe you’re not her type (as in she wants dark hair and a beard but you’re blond and clean shaven). Maybe she does have an inflated image and is holding out for Chad Thundercock.

The only women that women instigate frustration for men are the ones that hurt to lose (ie hot women)

From my observations, the primary source of frustration directed at specific women is based on their fickle and hypergamous nature.

It’s generally when some woman expresses some interest in a man and then suddenly pulls the rug out due to some dumb shit like finding out he likes some band she hates or a hotter Chad shows up that MOG’s the guy she’s currently talking to and you subsequently get blown out.

Of course it’s the woman’s right to change her mind for whatever reason, but its situations like these that I’ve seen cause frustration in men far more than “she wasn’t hot enough to say no”.

Let's start off with the word frustration vs anger. Women who get rejected get violent, angry and mean. Men typically get frustrated because women typically engage in double speak. They say one thing completely do something else then act stupid about what they did.

Example: Woman: "I would love a great guy that treats me with respect and I could build with"

Man: thought I could be that guy and I have a decent job, and we are in the same league I will ask her out

Woman: " I am not interested"

Woman goes after Chad compromises everything about herself, get turned out like a discount hoe.

Woman @ 40 year: " I am ready for a decent guy to help me heal" after I have all the emotional damage from messing with Chads for 20 years.

Man: frustrated "We could have been something great, now your just damaged good and I am not willing to fix someone else's mess"

There is not really ever a reason to respond with frustration. That is behaving with a scarcity mindset with in reality pretty girls are not a scarce commodity. Just move on to the next. The rating scale distribution is vey different based on whether your dividing ur by percentile of rubric (as much as you can quantify something subjective as looks)

Obviously if we are breaking it into percentiles, you get 10 even sized groups and 1-10 rating means you’re roughly in the percentile of attractiveness. In this model everyone could become a healthy weight over night and there’ll still be the same number of 1-10s. (Rankings May shuffle based on who’s fat but cute vs a butter face)

The other rating is rubric based with 1 being scaring small children, 2 being rather unfortunate, 4 being not disgusting, 6 being kinda cute, 8 being hot, and 10 being super model.

This rating will have more of a bell curve distribution and men and women do not have to follow the same distribution. If everyone lose weight the mean of the distribution would go up. I feel like in this rubric based rating women score higher based on what people attracted to that gender would say.

The average (mean/mode) for women are “kind of cute” while the average for men are “not disgusting” from what I’ve seen and that’s why there are 6 guys who deem themselves 6 because they’re better looking than 60% of them guys wondering why 60% women don’t think they’re a looks match.

A lot of men including me experience this lack of female suitors as a lack of choice and an inequality. Nothing can be done about it though.
