I prefer older women because I don’t want anymore children and I’d prefer to have something in common with them. I look at 25 year olds as kids. Why? My two daughters are age 25 and 29. My step daughters are the roughly the same age. I get the ascetic appeal of younger women, but I just look at them as kids. I’m not saying they are kids, necessarily, but that’s the way I would feel. People prioritize different things in their partner. Looks can be one. Looks is sometimes the only one. The tired myth is more of a tale of precaution to young women. Some women don’t care about being used for their looks since they get a benefit, which is usually financial support/ independence. If men had that as an option they would take it but they don’t. Instead some men happily use their established lives as a plus on their end when looking for a partner.

As for dealing with baggage, some people just can’t deal with others. One reason why divorce is huge. If the man can’t deal with a woman his age what are the chances he can with a younger woman? There is a limit to dealing with people that some people are simply not able to deal with because they can’t empathize with others well.

This story is also a good story for men because as much as men may feel like they’re in control of this type of relationship it can easily go left and then she’s in control and gets the house in the divorce or something like that. It’s not just about women being taken advantage of. Men can also be the victim in this situation. When I was 18 - 25, I alternated between being the sickest and thinnest of my family to my sickest and fattest. In no way shape or form did that period feel like my physical prime. Can both not be true at once? Can we not say that men find those girls more attractive, and at the same time some-a lot (idk what percent tbh) of them also find having a less life experienced girl also appealing?

Whether its due to less trauma/baggage or they actually have some more sinister intentions, its definitely still a factor a lot of the time

Sure it does with power dynamics sometimes, you even mentioned emotional baggage. Why would a guy want to deal with some mouthy used-up old hag and her kids and seven evil exes and whatever shit unless that were his only option? We see what dating looks like as you get progressively older. The title "physical prime" and then mentioning emotional baggage (which is a good point) contradicts the "simply" in the title. Anyway..

Power dynamics isn't inherently a bad thing at all, like "Oh I can control her and abuse her much easier! , maybe it's "I'd rather deal with this 20 year old's lifestyle and point of progress in life than a 30 year old's since I have the choice."

It's any number of things. Some guys are predatory groomers. A lot of guys just like hot youthful girls. Some guys want someone "purer" or with less baggage. Who knows the heart of man or the crazy girls that date them?

And weird chronic online world rhetoric has increased the frequency (or at least changed the playing field and brought it to our omnipresent computer screens) of both groomers and people seeking a not-totally-used-up-old-hoe and blurred the line between them in people's eyes. So there's a lot of guys going "I'm not like that!" meanwhile other factions are reeeing for their own reasons, or just enjoying their lives and not caring about what internet regards say.

I like women in their 30s and 40s. I think they are more attractive. Women in their early mid 20s look like kids.

My mom is in her forties, divorced and has three kids from different dads. Men throw themselves at her constantly, especially men in their late 20s - early 30s. I think this is all bullshit, all that matters is that you are attractive, and young people tend to care more about being attractive. But older women who still put in that effort in have no shortage of men pursuing them.

It should be added that physical beauty is not the only attribute. And the other non-physical desirable attributes also aren't about manipulation.

Younger women have enjoy the moment vibes.
Younger women aren't dead bedrooms.
Younger women think the future is bright.

By contrast:

Older women have a "hurry up and pass my job interview" aura.
Older women don't fuck, suck or do anal sex.
Older women see their entire future as a dim light of their past.

Essentially every female villain in literature is a post-wall emanating angriness, bitterness, etc.

I wont lie I just genuinely think women get better with age. Obviously i know their skin gets wrinkly but its the way they carry them selves which is omega attractive.
