The logic of exploting everything you can as a woman makes sense, but that is like 5% of that community.

The crucial point is this:

Reddit has still allowed FDS to exist. It is simply the moderators who made the subreddit private.

That is crucial because reddit specifically deleted the incel and mgtow subreddits and they quarantined TRP.

So it's completely different to what happened to the male spaces, which reddit actively targeted and eventually got rid of.

If you remove incel and mgtow subreddits, FDS needs to be given the same treatment. FDS is a community that promotes hatred against men and promoting hate is specifically against the reddit terms of service. Allowing it to exist means that reddit is allowing a certain group of people to break their rules while other groups must follow their rules. This is discrimination.

The solution is simple: nuke the entire FDS subreddit. Don't allow them to go private and provide people a link to follow to continue to promote their hate.

The concepts of strict boundaries (waiting X amount of time for sex if you really want to) and not settling for guys who treat you like shit are both good ideas. Also a good idea to never be a pick me.

might be a bit of a devils advocate here, but fuck that sub. obviously the actual behavior is still around, maybe on a different sub or on a different site, but having such objectifications of people as calling them "worthless" when they don't suit your preferences is ridiculous. the reason i'm ok with the ban is because it reduces the amount of people being exposed to/indoctrinated by the sub. the more people behind an idea in the public sphere, the faster it spreads. it never mattered how much moderation reddit threatened with, if reddit banned FDS due to sexism/advocating it (such as now), they'd go somewhere else (such as now). it's not localized to one group, it can go away from reddit as much as memeing/shitposting can. tl;dr: best option happened

In future Reddit needs to act more swiftly. If incel subs aren't allowed, then neither should FDS. Tbh I never agreed with anything that FDS said and often times it felt kind of insulting. But I actually do feel kind of bad that it went down. I remember when incels without hate went down it just sucked for me, bc it was a community that I felt most at home with.

One of the few places that was anti-porn, very rightfully pointing out it's evils, but those women were generally otherwise anti-male. They and the RPers are the exact same people, only each puts their own gender first. I had my eye on FDS since before moderation became strict, and men could post and comment. It was a much different place back then.

I will kind of miss cringing at the bad takes and out of reality posts there, and I don't like the fact that Reddit goes around silencing groups. I also missed some hardcore misogynistic subs the same way, it's fun to poke around and make fun of that kind of thing. But FDS preyed on vulnerable women by isolating them and taking their money, so them leaving did some good I guess.

Also. Scrote all the way here. I am too young and wasn't born into money so I can't be a HVM yet, and I'm still trying to figure out my place in the world. No girl I ever met seemed to mind though. My country of residence is way out of these communities' sphere of influence.

I enjoyed that sub. They did have some good tips for women like not doing FWB, not dating drug/alcohol addicts, not dating losers, etc... I think that was really helpful to ladies at large. So many women are into losers and the sub could assist those ladies. But yeah they had some angry and extreme views. I am sad they went private I enjoyed lurking that sub.

Good. FDS never should’ve been on this site because it’s too accessible to men. The sub is called Female Dating Strategy. Strategies aren’t supposed to be shown before you use them or else then, it would no longer be a strategy. Most women are privy to males strategies because male podcasters only broadcast it about 700 times a day on multiple platforms, which leads to women ghosting or flat out avoiding these men. I don’t want that to happen to FDS so it smarter to be more discreet with the manipulation.

At first I was thinking FDS was women giving men advice as to how to win a woman over or how to help a man find a date or things not to do. I was so mistaken and went down the wrong rabbit hole did I ever regret that lol. A man or a woman hate for another sex in my opinion is bad because they are basing those things on there own personal experiences and it can and in most cases end bad for them.

But you also need to look at it like this negativity breads negativity so when a man or a woman goes out there thinking negative things will happen to them base on pass experiences guess what will happen I bring you to the book called laws of attraction read it and you will understand what am saying and it will change your life for the better. I visited the sub maybe... twice over the last few years. I don't care for the wellbeing of subs promoting hate.

I don't care for 'free speech' with anonymity or without moderation, I'm interested if Musks ramblings about verified humans means the end of anonymity for the larger sites - I'd rather it not but I've whittled on before about something having to give. Anything worth saying can be said without promoting hate.

I’m happy about it. They give feminism, especially radical feminism a very bad name. Now, I hope Reddit will start working on taking down all of these misogynistic subreddits. I also hope a non transphobic and non misandrist version of it pops up, because I know there are a lot of women who felt comforted at that subreddit, despite the flaws.

I lurked in there for a while. I'd say 90% of what they had to say was accurate, but a lot of them take things way too far at times too. It's really no different that TRP, just a bunch of people who loathe the sex they're attracted to.

I mean, there's definitely some gold nuggets in there, it's easy to see why some women wouldn't want to associate with men when every male friend they've had has tried to fuck them at some point - one of my roommates is constantly fawning at the other's feet in an obviously flirtatious way.

The only thing I didn't like on there was all the ableism. A lot of posts basically said "don't date autistic/neurodivergent people" without stating it directly

I wasn't posting in there. I never made any comments at all. I had actually forgotten that shit show of a sub existed when I got the message saying I was banned and the reason why.
