I think in general men view women they want to date with a sort of innocence to them which is generally gone after you find out she's allowed so many random men inside of her. It's like at that point you can't have anything sacred with her that she hasn’t already let other men do.

Every woman who adopts a "slut" mindset or the associated values is another woman who no longer fits what many guys are looking for in a potential wife. Since finding and "matching" with an eligible woman is already hard enough, anything that decreases that pool of options is seen as bad, and encouraging, glorifying, or otherwise spreading that set of values is seen as problematic and harmful.

TLDR: To few "wife material" women already. More sluts means fewer "wife material" women, while fewer sluts mean more "wife material" women. Thus sluts must be shamed to discourage other women who might or might not become sluts from taking that path. Whether or not this idea fully works is a separate issue.

It really depends. I've been with women who are into gangbangs, cuckolding and all kinds who have partners. Literally witnessed a woman get a train ran on her in the club whilst her husband either watched, joined in or egged her on. There are plenty men who love sluts.

However, me personally, I've done the dating the slut thing and not wanted to do it again. I feel they had expectations that didnt fit around my own desires in a relationship. But thats just a preference thing. I think what some men find irksome about some "sluts" these days is that many either try to hide their promiscuity or they try to place their promiscuity on some kind of moral highground. There are plenty of guys into promiscuity, but there are plenty who are not. Its likely that being promiscuous will turn off men more than being chaste does. In this case, its about accepting this reality and not holding it against men if this is the case. What does annoy men is when a woman is promiscuous and somehow expects men to accept this (though I acknowledge this, thankfully, isnt that common).

I think what sucks for women also is that a lot of the men they actually want, often times exclude women from their dating pool for seemingly arbitrary reasons like promiscuity. I think of at least 3/4 absolute stunners that I had sex with either in a one night stand or in a swingers club whom I didnt really want to involve myself with intimately after we had sex.

"Hate" implies anger. That can happen, but way more often than not it isn't "hate", it's disgust.

If a man knows that he could never be with a woman due to her disgusting past or present, then she is permanently no good to him. He doesn't hate her - that requires energy that most men would choose not to spend. Instead, she becomes invisible/worthless to him.

Your question is the reciprocal of "why do women hate men that don't earn enough/don't look a certain way/etc". Are there women that act nasty/hateful towards men for those reasons? Yes, but most don't. The man is simply invisible/worthless to them.

As I get older, I think for me it's the incongruity of behavior that annoys me.

If a girl has slept around but wants to be treated like a princess, acts innocent and shy around sex, lies about her past, etc... to me that's a huge turn off. I would much prefer it if women were just honest about it if they are the type to hook up and sleep around. Own that shit, own being proud of getting down and dirty with random men lol.

I've been friends with or have casually seen women that sleep around a lot and when they one it it's genuinely more attractive and communicative to me lol. There are a few main reasons I think

The first is that culture rewards fidelity in women because of paternity uncertainty. Promiscuity in women is de-incentivized because we want to be certain about parentage so men don't squander their resources.

The second is that sexuality is a primary resource for women, one of their main assets they can leverage for both social and economic capital. This is why the main people who hate sluts are actually women, and in fact most slut shaming does in fact come from women.

The third I think is due to the pleasure of dominance. Seeing wanton sexual display elicits the dominant sexual response in men, like a shark seeing a seal in the water.

No men with an ounce of self respect wants a slut as a long term partner or mother if his children.

No men wants a slut to make him strugle to get what other men got far easier from her.

All that being said, the degree of a woman's promiscuity does definitely impact her chances of being "chosen" by a man for a serious, committed relationship. As well as her age of course. Most men would consider her a "sleeper" rather than a "keeper" if she's had an especially promiscuous past before him.

I recently had my first foray into trying to turn a ho into a housewife. In my experience, men whom are not religious fundamentalists (your Afghan example is not representative of all men) don't really hate women-who-sleep-around.

They may resent the relative ease of sexual access that woman has (and sometimes that resentment will be transmuted into hatred-of-sluts via the typical Nietzschean process of ressentiment).

They may be vindictive towards a woman who fucks men whom are not himself (which he'd understandably experience as a wound towards his ego - as him being "not good enough"), and he may call her a "slut" as a consequence of that.

They may also be expressing an evolved disgust reaction (against women whom are seen as likely to be disloyal or commit paternity fraud), and they may moralize it into what we call "slut-shaming." People moralize disgust reactions commonly.

And finally, they may also be making a rational cost-benefit analysis that deters them from marrying or starting relationships with sluts (since men bear the cost of her disloyalty or relationship-dissolution). Some men may moralize this. And whilst you don't consider "choosing not to date and/or marry" an expression of hate or contempt, some women do.

However, outside of religious communities... which mostly are against promiscuity for both sexes, by the way... I don't see much in the way of men sincerely believing that female promiscuity is evil/immoral/etc. When men slut-shame, they usually aren't expressing anything like a sincere ethical belief or a moral double standard... they're not expressing a moral position at all. They're giving voice to resentment, and/or they're lashing out at women they perceive as rejecting them, and/or they're experiencing "the ick," and/or they're just not committing to women with a promiscuous history and being accused of acting hatefully for that.

I agree the "but male promiscuity requires effort and female promiscuity is easy" argument doesn't justify hatred of promiscuous women. But slut-shaming is often not rooted in reasoned ethical belief or conviction.

If “society” has decided that monogamy is the way to go, men are the ones feeling the obligation to enforce such decision. With “society” I mean the male-female multi-generational consensus.

Now that “society” has decided that monogamy is no longer within the common consensus - only serial monogamy, i.e. boyfriend/girlfriend type relationships, there is no longer any need to enforce a certain moral code.

I think hate is a pretty harsh word for most men’s perspectives. IMO “have a lack of respect for” would probably be a better attribution, due primarily to a recognized pattern of a lack of self respect and potentially destructive behavior.

Now, when used with the more negative connotation, I think the sexual promiscuity is only a part of the equation, and is also including other negative traits as well, such as drama or unfair vindictive behavior. It’s less about “hate” than it is about the overall character of the woman in question.

It is 100% instinctual. Before about 80 years ago a case of the clap would kill you slowly. Venereal diseases were deadly at worst, disfiguring and painful at best. To me sluts are the ideal kinda woman. I’d rather there be 9 sluts for every 1 non-slut. In my experience sluts are exactly what men want out of women. I think that many men are just making excuses, people dislike sluts because their bodies say so. The idea that people dislike sluts because they have it easy is odd. Why would all societies in all of humanity's history would consider sluts horrible, if it was not a biological thing? Why even when all the power of modern propaganda pushing sluts, almost all men still consider it repulsive? I think it is an intrinsic thing.

It is like that repulsion people have for a particularly smelly individual. It is just restricted to men disliking sluts I think.

Sure you can come to accept a slut, like you can accept a smelly individual, specially if you are around them enough, some even fetishize it, but normally you always have to deal with the repulsion.

I even think that it is a thing shared in a smaller part with women, way too many women seem repulsed by sluts even for whatever reason they should not, except of course, by equally slutty women, they can't quite hate themselves I think.

I and many other men would LOVE to be able to like or tolerate sluts for longer periods. We just don't.

If I could, I would just have a sex worker again and again, and again, and completely ignore all other women. But the thing is, I can't, many men can't so we are forced to deal with people we don't want to every day. I guess it is how our bodies make sure we do not just become like monkeys, making as many kids as possible and not completely ignoring those women who won't provide sex the moment they are demanded.

The "hate" sluts get is a fraction of the hate men in general get for their sexuality. Virtually every man is assumed to be immoral, dirty and egoistical in his sexuality until explicitly proven otherwise. In short, a man is treated like a slut per default.

Men like promiscuous men because getting sex for men is difficult and it is admirable to be a success.

It's one of those unfair ramifications of sexual dimorphism.

Biological aversion to parental uncertainty; the more chaste the woman is, the more likely the baby continues your genetic line. This manifests as a raw disgust with promiscuous women for many men.
Their higher tendency to be jaded than promiscuous men. Simply put women are far less likely to be satisfied with a hookup or view the opposite sex in positive lights after them. A lot of them start feeling like men excessively objectify women and are exploitatiive perverts, and while that's true for some, it's just not universal and the men it doesn't apply to don't want to deal with that.
Unearned egos. Their sexual success sometimes makes them overrate their desirability and competence, to the point where they mock sexually unsuccessful men, even though the bar for a man to get laid is far higher than a woman's.
The selectivity. Promiscuous women are willing to sleep with a much smaller portion of the opposite sex than promiscuous men are. That conjures feelings of cultural exclusion and resentment in the men who are left out.
Disdain of the lack of self-control. This applies to both women and gay men; since they can both get sex so easily, they're instead judged based on how capable they are to not give in to the urge all the time. Straight men would also be judged from that perspective (and sometimes are), but for them the sheer spectable of being able to sleep around at all often takes precedent, since most straight men cannot do it.
Difference in effort. Following the above point, a promiscuous man may be annoyed that promiscuous women consider themselves on his level; he had to work hard/be special to get laid so much, and doesn't feel his equal is a woman who just said yes a bunch of times.
Difference in experience. A chaste man may be frustrated over promiscuous women making him wait, even though they didn't make their previous guys wait. Of further annoyance is how some promiscuous women feel entitled to not having men measure this difference in treatment, calling it insecure, etc. Chaste men view that as hypocrisy since they were subject to and told not to complain about women's standards for ages, even if those standards were shallow, yet now he's also being told it's wrong for him to dismiss partners based off of significant lifestyle and dating philosophy differences.
Divorce risk. Promiscuity raises the odds of breaking up on average for both sexes, but since women are already much more likely to break up than men to begin with any factor that exacerbates the risk is a bigger deal with them.
The risk of getting clowned on for not hating them. Men are far more likely to embarrassed giggles and cuck jokes if they're seen with a woman who gets around. Doubly so if the guy doesn't also get around. So hating on promiscuous women pre-emptively shields the guy from being slotted into that humiliating position.

I don't think men hate sluts. Men actually love sluts, we just don't want to marry them. Most slut shaming is done by women as a form of intrasexual competition.

I do, however, mind the consequences people have on society. Not just on this issue, but all issues.

Our society is not a good one, and most of the people in it aren't helping, but actively making it worse.

I want a good society, and understand how many people suffer under our current one, so yes, this bothers me.

Because monogamy evens the playing field for average men. Women naturally seek out the top men. In a non monogamous society the top men get harems while average men die alone.

Sluts represent the erosion of the social construct that allows average men to attract women out of their league. I personally don't judge sluts or recommend it because it's an inherently low value way to approach dating.

Mostly jealousy. Being a slut is easy. Men having a lot of sex is difficult.

It’s partly due to men having inherent paternity fears, too. Men want to trust the paternity of the child that they eventually have with their wife or long-term partner. Even with paternity tests, going about having one for one’s child is a hassle and sows distrust if the woman is actually faithful.

Men don't hate sluts, they absolutely love them. Who they hate are women known to be sluts who reject their advances. They see it as an insult to their ego when seemingly everyone can get with that girl but not them.

Other than these cases "look at what they do, not what they say" applies. Men can say they condemn sluts becouse that's the culturally acceptable thing to say (and what women want to hear) but the fact that every slut has it's set of male orbiters tells a different story. Women are the real haters of sluts becouse they are aware that they are always competing with them for male attention. On top of that they undermine one of the main power dynamics women have over men :men having to "earn" access to sex by courting and commitment.

I think it's because it's one aspect of society where women wield a lot of power and men don't. And men hate this. It's the reason why OF stars get shamed while theyre making all of their money off of men. If anything, the hate should be ditected towards the men who bankroll them but it rarely ever is. Men are jealous and insecure in this aspect.

I think it's moreso that many of the videos with women that sleep around include calling themselves 'the prize' while essentially being a commodity that many people have already experienced. They don't seem capable of attachments, and if they do, it's only for wealthy men whose resources they want to get before going to the next one.

Hatred for slurs comes from a lack of understanding.

A time where no one could reliably prove the paternity of their kids or how diseases are spread. There was also the problem of having too many mouths to feed and the risk of childbirth so everyone naturally hated slurs.

The science caught up but people's minds have not.

Part of it is hypocrisy. Part of it is sometimes just misogyny. But it's probably something rooted in our genetics, to know that if someone is promiscuous, they are far more likely to be unfaithful. And the consequence of an unfaithful partner can potentially be unknowingly raising someone else's kid, while thinking they are yours. If a girl is promiscuous, she knows it's her child, always. If a man is promiscuous, he doesn't. That doesn't justify male promiscuity, but even a promiscuous guy might feel that.

There's also the STD risk part of it, which for your health, is a care or consideration.

Or the reputational, which isn't just men slut-shaming. One of the first insults a lot of women default towards using towards other women is insulting their chastity. But there is a great awkwardness if you run into your friend and then realize he's dating your ex, or someone you were involved with. That stopped me from reconnecting with an old friend at least once.

Most of human history, we didn't live in an environment where you could just have a new sexual partner every single night and never realistically have to see or deal with them again. The past has a habit of catching up with you.

I'll say the quiet part out loud. Women until recently have been seen as men's property. Stepping out of line brings shame to the family/village. We also have issues with women expressing freedoms. In the Middle East, some women have to act as if they don't enjoy sex. Imagine squirming to fake the funk. In Africa, female mutilations aren't uncommon. We still aren't advanced as much as we'd like. Yes, I know what my flair says.
